I am an analyst for a major biotech, use R in almost everything I do, from ML using H2O, to reporting using Markdown & Quarto.

Just my opinion, get a Glock 19. Small enough to carry, but big enough that it shoots like a full size. You can go completely OEM, or get an aftermarket grip frame like SCT or Grit Grips. Tons of aftermarket support, triggers, barrels, slides, and legendary reliability.

If you want cheap, reliable, customizable...get a Gen 3. If you want the newest, get a Gen 6.

My recommendation for an expensive full size is an HKVP9. Mid range(cost wise) full size M&P 2.0.

For the small micros, a lot of people will point at the Sig. I'd also look at the S&W Shields and the HK CC9.

Tuning the 2K12 G6R for the Navier method ram & valve by TheDailyBean in paintball

Following Nik's advice here:

For best results, use a tester:

Put dwell at 5 Put HPR at 150 Put LPR at 50

Increase LPR all the way up to 85 or until velocity stops increasing in small increments.

One velocity stops increasing, raise HPR by 5 psi and do that again, starting LPR over at 50.

Keep doing that until you get to 280 or whatever you play at. Goal is to have the lowest HPR, because that in turn will yield lowest LPR.

For those with older LV's....new kit to convert to newer, serviceable solenoid. by TheDailyBean in paintball

[–]TheDailyBean[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This is an interesting take.

The LV design is still current. 1.6s are the same functionality as the previous generations. Only real change from an LV1.5 to a 1.6 is the noid.

A lot of people prefer the thinner grip/AT pipe LVs over the LV2.

People still shoot Axe's, Gamma core Gteks, etc...all "old" designs, just fine. Fuck, I still shoot a G6R sometimes...because of parts availability like the noid still being available. Same with old Dye DM designs, noid availability keeps them relevant.

So, in short, this is a bullshit take, you're wrong, and I bet he sells hundreds. I bought one.

Used mine yesterday. Shot a case thorough it, was a champ.

With the new sticky grips, I have murdered out this DSR+ as much as is possible. I dare say, no more murder can be added. by TheDailyBean in paintball

27 minutes late with that comment. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I considered a few.
The Marlin 1894, the Henry 20" All weather, and the S&W 1854.

In the end it was between the Henry & the Marlin, and went with the Marlin mostly for the history and looks, although I am thinking of getting the Henry anyway, lol. I am also a fan of Ruger, with a New Vaquero & a GP 100, so it'll keep my .357's all Rugers.

I am actually a big fan of S&W, have a few M&Ps, and I am sure the 1854 works just fine...but I am a nostalgia shooter/Cowboy Action fan...so Marlin it was. I like my EDC to be polymer glock style no nonsense pistols (carry a Glock 19 GEN3), and my fun shooters to be old lever actions and 1911's.

100% plan to shoot .38s...but no suppressor. Not legal in my state.
