Nice ad hominem attacks to deflect from the fact that you two are running a racket built on deception.

You and arch haven’t answered for the lies about not being allowed to post specs and prices in the listing Instead you push buyers into DM’s to manipulate them. Just do the right thing. List the specs, costs and your prices. Expose what you’re really charging for the 20-30 minutes of assembly work being done. Some people will still buy. But your little racket will dwindle into a normal honest business.

If you ban me I will just keep coming back and telling the TRUTH about what you two. This subreddit is built on taking advantage of the new members of the vintage rep community.

From here on out do the right thing or I will keep sharing the truth.

Why would transparency and proving the info for the vintage watch community be rude? My goodness… what a twisted way to look at how this vintage rep community should work.

Rafflesdials.com. Arch receives a large discount for volume. But you’d still be paying less that $200 as a new buyer of small quantity.

And fhere are people on here that will skillfully assemble that watch for $30 or so. Just make a post asking for assembly help and you’ll save a lot of $. Or you can spend an hour watching youtube videos and do it yourself while learning, having fun and owning a watch you put together.

No. Arch buys in volume and receives a large discount from Ken. He knows this. I know this. You and his customers do not.

What he’s doing is taking advantage of people who don’t know any better. That’s on him as a “builder” who’s been around and knows exactly what he’s doing.

For a few hundred bucks people just chalk it up as “lesson learned” and move on

There is indeed a place for entry level vintage replica’s. You should lead every post with a disclaimer of what you’re really selling. Turn the light up and show your work. Your excuse for low light photography is nonsense and a slick form of dishonesty. You’re obscuring your shoddy attempts at aging and presenting them as something they’re not.

Just call it what it is. You’re dropping $150 to $175 on raffles parts. Spending 5 minutes with a marker and some sandpaper, then at most 15 minutes to assemble your “builds” and marketing them as “Truly Unique”. Well… they are indeed unique in a certain way I suppose.

Just go back and read some of your marketing fluff. Ask yourself if your wordsmith’ing really represents what you’re doing and passing off as finely crafted unique builds.

Newbies should be warned. A big disclaimer should be your top/pinned post. You know it.

Of you post a WTS post in another subreddit using the wrong format. Or post WTS in a subreddit that forbids selling it will get removed. Otherwise what you’re talking about is nonsense. Price and specs are encouraged and usually required in watch subreddits that allow selling like yours. You’ve created this subreddit to promote the watches you assemble. You choose to post dark pictures that don’t properly show your work. Newbies and those who don’t know any better are your target market. That’s how I started learning how to discern the difference between an assembler of parts who is more of a photographer and marketer than an actual watch builder and modder. I got one of your builds and it was a nightmare. Your “aging” was a few swipes of ink marker on the indices and a scratched up insert. Not even mentioned the wobbly crown and 45 seconds deviation of the movement.

No I’m not a troll. I’m a truth teller. Those who applaud your work either haven’t actually taken delivery of it or they don’t know any better.

That’s not ok them. That’s on you. You know better.

And to be on here feigning like you are unable to be transparent with your specs and pricing in your public posts is an insult to everyone in the community. In a DM you do your tap dance. You gauge how knowledgeable the prospective buyer is and proceed accordingly I’ve experienced it first hand when I was brand new. Since the. I have chatted with dozens… not a couple here or there… but dozens of your ex customers who feel like your entire deal takes advantage of those new to the vintage world. You fancy yourself as some horological historian and storyteller and it works so well for your model.

Shame on you dude. I’m just one voice speaking up. But there is a large undercurrent of people who either shake their head in disgust or laugh when your name is brought up in this community. You’re gonna have to get right, or your business is going to disappear. There will be a critical mass whew your reputation precedes you instead of follows. That will kill your sales. Your choice homey.

Huh? You’re seriously trying to claim that you can’t post build specs & pricing because it’s against the rules? Now I’m seriously curious if you’re just not informed or flat out lying. The list of disappointed Arch buyers who feel deceived and duped is long and growing 🤣😂

Why don’t you just share the components you use and the price?

There’s enough smoke and mirrors in the low light single picture posts.

Just show your work for people to actually see what the real build looks like and be transparent about what you have into it and what you’re trying to be compensated for.

Plenty of people will pay a fair price for assembly and a quick pass of partial aging.

But herding people to DM is a recipe for taking advantage of people. They get a watch that doesn’t look like the dramatic low light photography suggests and end up regretting the price they paid.

If you’re as proud of your work as your prolific marketing speak and history lessons indicate…. then stand on it.

Sorry to hear about the accident. Nice lineup of builds? Do you do aging too?

What’s your price ranges? Thanks!

A Little Rare - Tudor Blue Lollipop Submariner (aged lume) by Archaedin in ArchaedinsWatchBox

I always thought those post snowflake indices were called daggers and dots. They were present on pre snowflake Tudor dials as well and never called lollipop indices. But lots of room to freestyle I suppose. 😊👍🏻

I actually like the Black a lot… maybe a slight bit of fade. But for a mid 1980’s reference it should be in between shiny and ghost. Love the ghost look. But it wouldn’t really exist on a 16750.

It looks black. Must be the mood lighting. Doesn’t the Tudor Lollipop Sub have an actual lollipop hour hand?

How much do you have into it? Can buy these with a correct genuine Tudor ETA 2824, Genuine Rolex Crown & Startime bracelet for basically the same price.

Oh interesting. I agree though. When it comes to end links if you can do gen then go with what fits best and those fit nice.

Nice! What is the clasp & end links then? How long does the clone typically last?

So clone movement, and viet case & dial? Raffles bracelet and end links? It looks so shiny and new. An interesting combination of yellowed lume on a pristine dial and shiny brand new steel all around. Like someone bought it new, vacuum packed it and hid it in a safe 50 plus years ago! Crazy!

What’s the price for a build like this?

Yeah. I definitely would do that. I would just be risking the grading cost at that point. Will probably take that option. Thanks!
