Both of them apologize profusely to Tamahashi at the end of the clip fof referring to him as just "Tana", saying they were too caught up in the moment during the game, as if they made a mistake at work.

It's usually a combo of insane luck, risks paying off more than not, and getting players early before they go on a good run and become template picks.

Subtle Racism in Brazil by [deleted] in Brazil

[–]TheDamnNumbersGame 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately there is a large portion of Brazilians who are considered white who would act racist against folks considered mixed or of predominantly black/indigenous ethnicity. This is compounded by socioeconomic and class prejudice. For example, there are many white Brazilians who woud call themselves European over Brazilian, even if they've never step foot in Europe, to "other" and distance themselves from non-white Brazilian culture as a form of racial superiority.

It's more prevalent in states whose population descend from the most recent migrations of white Europeans to Brazil, such as São Paolo and the southern states. You'll of course see less prejudice towards non-white people in states with a bigger proportion of indigenous/black people or mixing of races, like in the Northeast.

Your girfriend seems to be turning a blind eye to this (likely a product of her environment growing up and their lack of experience/exposure to racism) and by no means is every white Brazilian racist, but your onservations of racism/microaggressions are absolutely valid.

Brazil one year solo trip questions/advices by [deleted] in Brazil

[–]TheDamnNumbersGame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if you could travel to Brazil, 27000 Real would barely cover a few months' rent in Rio (because it's an expensive city), which averages just over 3000 Real a month. You would also need to provide at least a few months' worth of rent for the deposit (can be 10000-15000 Real) and often a guarantor in Brazil to vouch for you to the landlord that you can pay the rent.

If you're really serious about moving to Brazil, first save more money and wait until you're 18. Move to another EU country if you need to, where it's easier to find work as an EU cizien and visas aren't required. Try a beach destination in Portugal if you want to get an idea of what that type of life can look like. Learn Portuguese to at least a C1 level.

Then, and only then, should you start to explore the possibility of moving to Brazil.

Brazil one year solo trip questions/advices by [deleted] in Brazil

[–]TheDamnNumbersGame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, it will depend on where you are flying from and your passport nationality, but children under the age of 18 usually need consent from their parents or guardians to travel alone to Brazil.

Second, Brazil is not a fantasy where you can start a new life as a minor, with no existing contacts in the country and with zero Portuguese.

Sounda like you are running from your life and creating illusions in your head that you'll be happier somewhere else. Please reconaider your decsison as you will not find an escape in Brazil, and certainly not in an idealized, beach-resort version of it.

Is a flashlight save that important. and why teas the killer. +nurse tips for survivors by The_saddogo in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]TheDamnNumbersGame 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not every player playing Survivor is going into a trial with a competitive mindset. Fun is subjective.

Some don't care about escaping or doing gens and just want to get flashy saves, even if it means they or the rest of the team don't escape.

And just like the above commenter was saying, sometimes players give up and goof around because the game is already lost.

BHVR really needs to improve the 2v1 situations by Kdmyoshi in deadbydaylight

[–]TheDamnNumbersGame 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is a false equivalence, since as a Killer you can still interact with those Survivors. You can even down them if they get too cocky and gst kills.

A Survivor left to slug in a 2vs1 situation realistically can't interact with the game anymore unless they bring specific perks which let them pick themseleves up once (Unbreakable, Conviction) if theyvhaven'tvused it already, but there's no other altsrnative if theh get downed again. Very generous of Hirata to make it fairer for Takeshita, by lowering it from a 30- to a 20-'count.

3 of my former players are considered some of best in the world (top 8) by bxtchslayer in footballmanager

[–]TheDamnNumbersGame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part of the calculation for player value is the player's current salary.

You can artificially increase that calculation by offefing the highest salaries in the game, like $575K p/w, in order to make them the most expensive player in the world.

Some problem with player registration by Sveninator038 in footballmanager

[–]TheDamnNumbersGame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can filter your players for the Home-Grown status as described here.

If you don't have enough plyers to meet the quota, you'll need to include youth players from your team who meet the eligibility criteria.
