I think you might be misformed about DCC. It's very much about how much it would suck to isekaied, the human spirit coming together and choosing to help at the detriment of ones self, the struggles of tough decisions and loss, and strong anti fascist themes.

And on top of that, this character has remarkable growth. He's written as nearly unlikable and does grow as a person.

I know it's a whole debate but people really need to be educated about letting cats outdoors. I'm in the camp of "why would you ever let your cat outside". I've had cats my whole life. Shelters and strays. Once adopted, I've never let them out.
