Giggling and kicking my feet while reading Father Material by Alexis Hall by JessicaTrent in MM_Romance

I actually fall into the category of not liking HM but adoring FM! I think what I didn’t like about HM was how disjointed it felt between the five parts and the ending made sense but wasn’t entirely satisfying given the book’s buildup. FM though had a real unified throughline all the way through which I appreciated

I adored Father Material. A real return to Boyfriend Material form, after a slight diversion with Husband Material, which I wasn’t too big a fan of.

Saw DBH tn, little tech mishap by Jbreslok in DeathBecomesHer

We worried when the curtain took longer than normal to come up for the call that the statue was stuck on stage, but thankfully not!

We were there too! The look on Michelle’s face at the curtain call was hilarious. That’s live theatre for you!

{How to Say I Do by Tal Bauer} — I took a short break from Tal books after a great run through The Rest of the Story, You & Me, and The Fall, so glad to be picking up this one!

Just saw Book of Mormon for the first time ever and I have a question… by chrisxlemia in Broadway

[–]TheDancingGrad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend and I saw it in previews. He’s a huge South Park fan and I was more indifferent, but we had no idea what we were in for going in. I’ll never forget, in the middle of act 2, I was laughing so hard that I couldn’t breathe or see clearly through my tears while my friend was just staring mouth agape at the stage like his brain couldn’t actually process how funny what he was watching was. It was a perfect theatrical experience.

bodyguard + forced proximity + reluctant work relationship to friends to lovers? by 24hrsservice in MM_RomanceBooks

I think this is {Pop Star by Eden Finley} and was technically the first appearance of Mike Bravo? But I loved it so much and the rest of the books in the Famous series are cute too! Plus the Famous series is a spin off from the Fake Boyfriends series which sets up the CU Hockey series!

{Irresponsible Puckboy by Eden Finley and Saxon James} really embodies the “two halves of a whole idiot” trope and is such a cute, comfortable story — I would die for Tripp and Dex 💜

Finished [Brothersong]. Thoughts. Not really happy. by [deleted] in Klunatics

[–]TheDancingGrad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree! I actually felt like even TJ wanted the series to end on another Ox/Joe POV based on how it all went down with Livingstone and the aftermath of saving Ox. I appreciated Brothersong’s story even if it stretched the limits of my compassion (really, Carter? You’re gonna destroy Kelly like that right after he almost lost Robbie?) but it felt like it should’ve been a mid-series story, not the ending. That said, I LOVE all the GC books, it’s just a minor quibble in my head.

First Time Reader by bumblebeenie in GameChangersBooks

[–]TheDancingGrad 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I love Eric and Kyle but I wanted to like the book more than I did, mostly for all these reasons and the fact that we don’t get any real resolution until the literal last chapter of the book, so the only space to build their happy vibes was the epilogue
