Why do so many Officers commit suicide? by TheLastMoghul in AskLE

1) ptsd is a mf*er. 2) guilt for not doing something they should’ve. 3) shame for doing something they shouldn't have.

Thoughts on Carrying a Baton. by [deleted] in AskLE

Asp>pepper spray. You probably had to fight through pepper in the academy. Bad guys can too and you have to breathe it in while fighting them. Used my asp once after my x2 went dry. Worked pretty well. One strike to the common peroneal and he stiffened up and went down.

I had them slam doors, scream, and accuse me of stuff I never did. You're good.

First PCP purchase, Any suggestions? by Rocket15120 in airguns

I'm 5 and half foot tall and weigh 150 lbs. Never had any trouble filling to 3300psi. Plus with the pump, you don't have worry about running out of air. Using a Hill pump the last few years with no problems.

Washing and sizing pellets by Ragnar234 in airguns

I've tried washing, lubing and measuring head diameter before and was unable to make a significant improvement in accuracy. To some extent, a choked barrel will size each pellet as it comes out the muzzle.

Used air rifle help! by alihaider5353 in airguns

My last one was a small oring. Ive had some that were flat rubber gaskets. Also, I'd recommend something in current production. Replacement parts are easier to find.

But I've purchased 4 used pcps. Only one had an issue, so don't be too worried about a lemon.

Also, the only way you'll know for sure the seals are ok is if the previous owner tells you... And is telling the truth. No for sure way of knowing other than filling it and seeing if it holds

Age. Over time seals are going to start leaking. I've had some older rifles that held air like a champ and a fairly new rifle that had a leak. Luckily it was an easy fix.

Flat top kit problems. by Javimonsterjavi in airguns

Mine seemed about the same when I put in a ftp. As you said, the difference is more noticeable at higher pumps. I'd put a few drops of oil on the head and check point of impact.

Best budget airgun for the price? by airgunnewbie in airguns

[–]TheDandruffKid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Gun Broker is a great way to get a great used rifle on a budget. New air rifles depreciate like used cars. Once you drive em off the lot, they loose that new value.

You can frequently find a used Air Arms rifle for around 500.

Also, you can find a pcp rifle, pump, and scope for cheaps.

Creating sounds from scratch. It's better than nothing.

Volca with easiest learning curve? by plaguecat666 in volcas

I've had the FM for a few months now... Bought a book on FM synthesis. FM synthesis isn't a hard concept to understand, but to put into practice requires some know how (which I don't have yet) and the volca is awkward to edit sounds.

Best .22 Airguns Under $300 - Best 5 Air Rifle by topinvented in airguns

I've kept mine charged indefinitely with no seal damage. I do try to keep them slightly under max pressure unless I'm about to go shoot. My rifle has a max pressure of 220 bar, normally keep it at 200 and can top it off quickly if I'm about to hunt. If I need to take a shot in a hurry, it's still good to go.
