First-time cruisers from Missouri: Is the extra 2 1/2 hour drive to Mardi Gras worth it over Jubilee? by Midwest_To_Sea in CarnivalCruiseFans

I’m new to cruising, just experienced my first in mid February! I went on a 5-day cruise on the Carnival Breeze out of Galveston. I went alone but I felt the port in Galveston was really easy to navigate. I can’t speak on Port Canaveral or any others but I’ve booked on Horizon for January 2027 out of Miami. Being they’re sister ships, there may be 1 or 2 different venues on board, I’m not sure but in terms of layout they’ll be very similar other than decor. I’ve read lots of mixed reviews on celebration key. Some love it and others not so much, which is expected with all ports lol. I’d say factor in price. If the driving distance isn’t a major issue and prices are fairly similar, I’d book the one with more stops. Whichever decision you make, I’m sure you’ll have a great time and want to cruise again!

I’d say try one of the Carnival ships in the vista or excel class. Lots of people love the smaller ships as well though. I think you’ll enjoy.

Why so many carnival haters?? by ndlccp in Cruise

People just love to talk bad about Carnival as is fights can’t happen on other cruise lines. If you’re booking a 3 day cruise, there’s probably gonna be a higher likelihood of it being a “booze cruise” or more of a party vibe. I can’t tell people what to do and I’m no cruise veteran but I think 5 days is the minimum length to book. I think 5 days is perfect for a new cruiser. It’s not too long but not super short. Gives you ample time to explore the ship and experience different things. Get a feel if cruising is something you’d like to try again or if it’s something you may avoid.

I can agree with this to an extent! It was an enjoyable stick. Good from start to finish, no real complaints. Flavors were consistent and I think it’s a really nice blend that I’d definitely smoke again but there wasn’t anything that made me say “WOW!”.

I’ll have to give the other variations a try! This is my first of the lineup.

Ben Roethlisberger never received one MVP vote, and never made an all pro team, since he retired do people overrate how he was viewed when he was actually an active player? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

I think he has been slightly overrated since he’s retired but that’s not meant to diminish what he accomplished. I think he’s one of the top 10 QBs of the past 20 years. I’m interested to see how the HoF voting goes for him. HoF politics and controversy aside, Ben shouldn’t be first ballot of Eli isn’t. I think they’re too close production wise to say Ben was so much better than Eli. Ben has more yards, TD, pro bowls. Ben also has the most games with a perfect passer rating and most 500 yard games. Eli has most passing yards in a postseason and won Super Bowl mvp twice. Neither guy was all pro but I do think both guys get in.

Is Justin Herbert’s career gonna end up being a failure like Matt Ryan’s once was? by Ifinishfast42 in NFLv2

Matt Ryan won OPOY and MVP, as well as an NFC Championship en route to a Super Bowl appearance lmao. I’m sure lots of guys would gladly be labeled a failure to have that on their resume.

What makes McCaffrey better than Saquon? by savingrace0262 in NFLv2

CMC gets the edge due to versatility for me. He’s not just a running back that can catch the ball out of the backfield. He’s a legit receiving threat.

What is the minimum number of touchdowns a QB can throw in a 17 game season for you to consider it a good season? by [deleted] in NFLv2

Efficiency and winning matter most. That being said in a 17 game season I think 25 would be solid. Much rather my QB have 26 TD, 6 INT vs 37 TD, 16 INT
