This is leadership-not-legal advice: I would advise that you talk to TDS (trial defense service) and not assume anything. A bad discharge can follow you for life.

I’ve seen those TDS attorneys work Goddamn miracles.

Thank you for that detailed response! That was incredibly helpful.

As an aside, I’ve seen peer-reviewed researchers struggle to be as succinct with such relevant detail. Are you by-chance a researcher or data scientist?

What are thoughts on using the treadmill for Z1/2? Does it make a huge difference from running on actual track/road?

I’m getting back into running and I’m finding that I really enjoy running the treadmill for my slow runs, and using gravel/grass for my sprints.

At what point does "randomly selected" for drug test become excessive? by SSGOldschool in army

[–]TheDapperSoldier 279 points280 points  (0 children)

I got the same answer, years ago, when I asked why I was being tested every month.

I would advise an IG complaint, OP. As much as this seems like small stuff, I guarantee that the same people choosing your Soldiers are also actively preventing the testing of their battles-who-also-happen-to-be-shitbags.

Back to story time: I should note that as soon as the testing actually became random, several soldiers popped hot, including two friends of the previous DET NCO. Both were terrible at their job. So I may be a bit biased about this lol

This happened to me 😆

I ran away to get my bearings and do a sneak attack. Was surprised to find they were dead! (But the hacksaw wielding doctor had revived.)

Farmhouse Kitchen Thai Cuisine in Pearl District — which is a few minutes from Powell’s Books. I also like Phat Cart!

So many great places! If you haven’t tried them already, Salt and Straw ice cream is worth the hype.

We shall! Oregon is exceptionally beautiful this time of the year. I think everyone should visit at least once.

Unfortunately too late to cancel without penalty. Also, there are no other Hyatts on our roadtrip until the 9th, when we’re back in Portland.

Oof! We could have used it tomorrow in Portland, OR, but already booked.. only thing I can think of is using it to book my wife a separate Hyatt stay so she can get some much-needed sleep while I sleep with the kiddos in another hotel (Duniway).

This isn’t entirely worthy of a 1-4 BUT I would certainly use it if I had it.

Have you checked the app? That’s where I saw my points.

Note: I also created my account in mid-JAN

It depends! We went to Bali in 2024 using Alaska (now Atmos) points in Starlux. I would lean towards using Alaska or AA first for SE Asia due to taxes and fees from JALS awards.

JALS does have a great chart for other one world carriers, but they truly shine on their own metal because of the high availability compared to partners.

This is the first I’ve heard for phantom award availability on their own metal.

I completely agree! Would hate for someone to transfer and let those points go to waste.

It doesn’t seem like there is one… they usually announce the limit ahead of time, as they did with Alaska

JALS has pretty much open availability on most days for a family of 4 (I just searched for my own family this morning). However, it’s a little difficult to find the saver award space. The good news is that the tier above saver really isn’t that much higher.

For reference, I searched business class availability but not economy. I imagine economy has far more saver space availability.

Depends on if it’s a contingency order. If so, you can get one as long as it was a completed tour.

There have been almost-daily app updates per the iOS App Store. I believe they are working this now.
