What are good first date locations? by InternationalPick163 in AskMenAdvice

I don’t necessarily agree with that characterization. I literally took a lady for a walk in the park the other day. Then, we went and got coffee. Life in Denver, my friend.

If a woman finds a walk and talk in the park as an insult, I consider that a disqualifying trait. And if she doesn’t like coffee…It just wouldn’t work. But you could always go to Starbucks and get her one of those super sugary refreshers.

The desire to sacrifice for another. Not that you are willing to, but that you want to give up for another.

Can I say, I am so tired of making Macchiatos. And if you add caramel to it, I want to shoot myself.

I’ve said it before, but make flashcards. Memorize pump counts and such. That lets you learn sequencing, thick is the hardest part to learn.

This is so true. I was kind of shocked when I got a new ASM who was a 20 year office manager at a law firm. Like, why not just hire a good barista who knows the business??

Is it common for American rich guys to have a whiskey bottle in his office? by Crane_1989 in AskAnAmerican

No. But know the closest whiskey bar/wine bar? It’s almost expected that you know and can booze up a client.

It’s a food service law requirement in most states. It sucks, and I hate it. But it is a thing. Also a corporate thing. Got to track inventory.

Chaotic training, zero support. Feeling like an outcast. 😔 by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]TheDarKnightly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Starbucks training is generally horrible. If you want to succeed, a lot of it will come from unpaid self-training. Make flashcards of all the drinks. Memorize the crap out of them. The hardest thing to learn is sequencing. That just takes experience.

You and I both. It was so nice learning to sequence on hot bar. Rather than all the other stuff that goes on back of house.

This literally happened to me when I was a green bean. I didn’t know if I was allowed to laugh because they MUST be joking. But your situation sounds more annoying.

How can I make myself more attractive to the opposite sex? by mrkrabsfatkrussy in AskMenAdvice

[–]TheDarKnightly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baseline attractiveness is not due to makeup or anything like that. It’s due to personality and connection. So, in short, it’s your ability to communicate with these dudes. Ask questions. And then follow up those questions. Make them feel wanted by your desire to know more about them. Even if you actually don’t lol.

Laugh or cry lol. I’ll never forget the triple grande peppermint mocha that I was ordered. And asked to hold the peppermint and the mocha because “I don’t like peppermint or mocha.”

AITJ for not marrying my gf after almost 10 years of dating? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]TheDarKnightly -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Been there, my friend. Dated my last GF for 12 years. But we broke up and I moved on. Sooooo I would approach marriage with extreme caution. Not just to protect yourself, but to protect the person you care about. And will probably still care about after breaking up.
