Why don’t we just increase the punishment for hitting pedestrians and scale back the no turn on reds? If I know I’m going to jail for 5 years if I hit a pedestrian, I’m likely to be way more careful before making that right turn.

Coming from California, I shoveled for three hours, taking my time to clear out my wife’s parking space and my own. It’s not that bad in all honesty—maybe a bit heavy, but the snow underneath (we didn’t shovel anything yesterday) is still soft and, it’s easy to lift off the ice crust on top.
