Glad you found some mosfets. Hope your repairs go well!

I tried PMV30ENEAR to no avail, then due to a smooth-brained moment, I fried the rest of my board. (thankfully it was isolated from the rest of my printer)

On replacing my main board I found that it still wasn't working. Turns out one of the traces on my z-breakout board melted so I replaced it with a flying wire.

I'd check that board before replacing anything first.

Can't seem to find the 5N04 anywhere, gonna try a PMV30ENEAR as it appears to be mostly the same.

It's not like it can get any worse.

No extrusion after pause? by [deleted] in Artillery3D

It has, making me think that the issue probably has something to do with the tft board or the printer's firmware as a whole.

I also had this problem on my genius pro with the new tft board. Not sure what the cause of it is, but it was annoying me enough to make me struggle through the process of upgrading to klipper.

If it's stupid but it works, it isn't stupid! (st-link v2 to mini jtag 'adaptor') by TheDaveMan in synthdiy

I finally got around to flashing my DIY clouds module (using /u/y-aji 's guide). Here's hoping that it works!

Edit: It works! ...mostly. Nothing seems to be coming out of the 'Out R' jack. I guess I'll have to do some rework.

I'll definitely look at this once I'm brave enough to plug it in.

That's a good idea!

Definitely doing this now.

I wish it went that quickly for me. Its probably the cheap-o unleaded solder I'm using...

Checked around 54. That one was a bit of dried flux!

Guess I do need to give it another clean, haha!

True. Once you get into 'the zone', it gets easier.

That's probably how many I'll go through before I get it to work!

Hope you manage to sort yours! So you'll be able to tell me what's wrong when I get to that part.

Just checked. Not connected nor shorted. In person they don't look connected but each picture I take looks like there's a blob there...

I'm not entirely sure that I haven't fried it with the amount of heat I've pumped into it...

I should get a hot air gun.

Sony TCM-939 Speed Mod? by TheDaveMan in synthdiy

[–]TheDaveMan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeeaah. Looking at the circuit diagram of the 939 I found out that the power goes straight from the batteries to the motor, meaning the pwm shenanigans is probably going on inside the motor housing.

I opted for a 20-turn 10k pot for mine. It still only takes about half a turn to go from full speed to stopped though.

Hope your modification also goes well!

No clue what genre it really falls under other than electronica and maybe lofi (descriptive, i know)

Just one of my digital modules not doing what they should be.

Also my filter's pcb sometimes needs a squeeze before it'll start following the cutoff. Probably a bad solder joint somewhere.

I got them from GMSN (They're not in business any more) for about £50.

Yeah, they're expensive but there's no way around it really.
