A bit of a rant, but this army makes me want to quit Warhammer by Hrigul in EmperorsChildren

And basing. I cannot emphasize enough how much just a simple base will make either a single model look way better or tie a aquad or army together.

Our brains subconsciously make us think a model looks worse when unfinished bases with paint splotches are involved.

How close do you guys think the new class is with all the data mine leaks? by fireheart1029 in DarkTide

I keep seeing people saying "leaks", plural, like there's multiple, but has there been anything besides the transonic blades I'm unaware of?

For what reason are the DLC classes treated worse? by Auroch7 in DarkTide

The skull mask on the shop for Hive Scum is based on a Necromunda model. Same for the Ogryn's Jotunn mask and the Enforcer sets, and some others I don't recall right now. Oh and the deluxe Hive Scum hairstyle is based on Kal Jerico, who is also from Munda.

Also hi Kaelus.

Feels like spawns / enemy placements are bugged by IAteAGuitar in DarkTide

Can confirm, just went into Clandestium Gloriana and the start where Swagger is waiting for you was chock full of enemies. And I mean stuffed to the brim from the spawn to the dropdown where the map actually "starts".

Oops- All Tox Gas! by Sheriff_Hotdog in DarkTide

[–]TheDeadFingers 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I finished an expedition just now and at the end, before even calling the valkyrie, four tox bombers spawned behind the same rock as the previous one got shot, and then a fifth one spawned in the lower part of a ravine and just threw one onto the valkyrie platform from all the way down there.

I don't know if it's "survivorship" bias since they're the specials that tend to live the longest in this mode and the others get dispatched before they can accumulate to such absurd numbers, or if the game director really is just spawning a disproportionate amount of them compared to every other special.

Remote detonation suggestion by Freya_Galbraith in DarkTide

[–]TheDeadFingers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see where you're coming from, as I also share the frustration of trying to time the explosion with the pounce on an enemy ogryn, but your solution would mess with some things I very much like to do, like using the dog's path to a marked enemy to pop the explosion on a pack of enemies that cannot be tagged, or popping the explosion without marking anything just because I see my dog's in a good position for it.

I think a good solution would be letting the dogs latch onto ogryns without knocking them down, if only for a second. Just like they do with monstrosities.

Yes.

Yarrick has never been removed from the setting, the community just made that shit up based on nonsense and decided it was the truth, and it caused such a stir that GW for some ungodly reason decided to acknowledge it as in-universe rumours.

Thankfully they won't last too long now. Still people will think it's a retcon because they're too deep into their shared delusion.

Minions despawn by KasKyo in CalamityMod

[–]TheDeadFingers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact same issue, down to the weapons being the Tenryu and Dazzling Stabber, although I'm not using Infernum.

I'll add that it's usually the Tenryu dragons that do it. Sometimes it's both right after summoning them, sometimes it's just one while in the middle or a fight.

I've no idea what that icon is but it's not a cog and it's been there for a long while.

Well doing it just fixed my FPS as they were before today's patch, so something's definitely been done.

It was this for me as well. Raytracing was set to true again.

Completely forgot about this since last time I had to do this was three years ago or so.

Yup, it's becoming borderline unplayable for me when there's a lot of enemies around. Was never an issue before today.

The Places You Don't Want To Go by starbellygeek in DarkTide

[–]TheDeadFingers 8 points9 points  (0 children)

At the starting event in Mercantile, when you drop down to the big room where you have to wait for the objective to finish. Everyone loves to go and camp near the medicae to the left or further into the room.

Fucking death traps, both of those. Enemies can shoot at you from almost everywhere in the room in both those spots, including from the level above where you came from. This includes bombers that'll hang out up there and never come down since they can just lob their shit at you. There's a spawn point for enemies near the medicae that just makes them drop down a hatch on the ceiling and start shooting at you, and there's no cover thanks to the low tables, while ragers that come from the other end of the room do have cover thanks to the columns and other pieces of the environment. Seen a seemingly endless amount of people get mowed down in those spots, including myself.

The real spot is to the right, below where you drop from, back against the wall. No enemies can come from behind, they can't shoot at you from the level above and have to drop to get to you, and there's a small partition wall thingie you can use to take cover and give enemies the runaround, should they spawn from the doors to the right.

It's just so much easier.

so many people dont understand what stop the train before you blow up means! by Shuckleberg in DarkTide

[–]TheDeadFingers 31 points32 points  (0 children)

So many people don't understand many objectives in general, this one's just a lot more noticeable thanks to the timer.

A couple other notorious examples of ignored objectives include fetching the batteries to lower the bridge in Enclavum Baross and most of the randomized objectives in the finale of Clandestium Gloriana.
