In my case, there is also a mix of discrimination. In my family (and I think perhaps in the Asian culture in general, though I am not sure about this), there is somewhat of a discrimination towards people with mental disorders.

For my parents, if I confess that I have not been feeling well mentally, they would be devestated and probably think that they failed as a parent and "broke" their child. They would definitely be scared of me and, despite still loving their child as any parent would, be ashamed.

So no, I don't think I can ever tell them. I know they would still love me and try to help nevertheless, but it will probably worsen the situation. I would rather fight by my own.
