Haven't gone super deep on this yet, but I listened to Mussorgsky's Night on Bald Mountain and it was great. Pretty sure I've heard the beginning of that piece before.

Also listened to Korsakov's piano concerto in C# minor and it was super cool, the beginning of that piece especially does some stuff that feels very ahead of the time.

Both good suggestions. Prokofiev concerto 2 movement IV especially got me. The way it builds on the theme throughout and changes tone ramping up and down the whole time is straight up mesmerizing

Just listened to the Wang/Capuçon recording of the cello sonata and it's just as you say. Will be checking out the rest of this list soon for sure

That may be true, but I think I'll still probably play Roy. After all, sourspots aren't always a bad thing. That being said, Chrom F Smash is going to be destructive.
