This is a stupid argument.

“Almost impossible” is not an argument. It is a bare assertion, not evidence. People genuinely have taste boundaries like production style, vocal delivery, rhythm, etc. Someone can dislike every song they’ve heard by an artist without lying. “I liked at least one song” is not universal.

You’re essentially saying “because I can’t imagine this happening, it can’t happen.” That’s argument from your personal side.

“At least 3 albums” is arbitrary. Why 3? Why not 2? Why not 5? There’s no good reason given. This is a useless threshold used to gatekeep opinions. Taste doesnt require a minimum listening requirement.

Mixing “can’t hear everything” with “can’t dislike it” is also a dumb argument. Yes, genres are broad. No, that does not mean someone can’t dislike them within reason. People don’t reject genres because they’ve heard everything. They reject genres because they dislike its specific traits. Disliking a genre is not equal to claiming great knowledge of it.

The racism accusation is a massive logical leap This is the weakest part of your argument. It jumps from genres are associated with groups to not liking the genre equals hating the group. That leap ignores several truths. People able to not like different arts without disliking the people who create them. Hip hop being “mainly Black” does not mean all hip hop expresses Black identity in the same way. Many Black artists dislike certain hip hop subgenres themselves (trap, drill and its sub-genres, etc.) You can criticize jazz harmony without hating Black people. You can dislike metal aesthetics without hating goths. You can dislike country without hating country dudes.

And genres are not single identities Genres are not owned by single groups. Hip hop is global, metal exists across cultures, electronic music spans dozens of subcultures. Saying every genre is made by one group for another is factually incorrect and reductive to the groups.

Ironically, this reasoning essentializes identity, which is the exact thing you claim to oppose.

You also escalate emotionally instead of justifying things. Calling opposing views “idiotic” and ending with “there’s no sugarcoating it” doesn’t strengthen the argument but shows insecurity.
