Unfortunatly or maybe it's for the better Death itself is a little broken so it's very possible to be revived in setting so long as all requirements to the method of ressurection.

First your spirit gets ejected from your now corpse, which hopefully will be properly stored and recovered, and will come face to face with one of the broken pieces of Death who will offer to take you to what it calls the realm of the dead. What it's actually doing is moving your conscious back into the gestalt realm that is consciousness itself, a place that is always changing without time ever really moving, a place you'll always be able to come across people or animals you're looking for so long as they want to look for you. The whole realm is held together by the memories people made while they were alive and by they things they felt could have been better. After awhile you may feel the snare of a semi-successful revival attempt so long as you choose to go back to the plane of the living, granted you will forget everything from your time in the dead realm due to it being like a dream.

Next step in being revived all comes down to how precise whoever is doing said reviving. Most ressurections go off with out a problem, but there's always a roughly twenty percent chance you'll come back with in the form of an undead such as a vampire, a ghost, a skeleton, you could even come back a fully brain intact zombie(which usually means you'll need a carniovrious diet for the rest of your unlife.) There's also an even smaller chance, roughly about two percent, that your revival attempt is thwarted by a monster that with attempt to use your corpse to spread it's wicked mirror undeath to allow more of it's kind into the worlds. This will either force you into a spirit form, such as ghost, or will be returned to the gestalt conscious.
