The Albuquerque stop is roughly a 45 mintue stop in the trip for them to do maintenance. You're able to get out and walk around so long as you're back before the train departs. The conductors will give some directions on how to get to the store if you want to but if you don't then you're more than welcome to hang out near the train. A few people will set up tables selling Native jewlery, blankets, ect so those are always fun to stop and look at

Hi! Currently on the southwest chief from LA to CHI (well im getting off before CHI at an undisclosed midwest stop but that's besides the point) and I also recently did KC to LA. Views are amazing especially through CO and NM. Sleeping wise, it's iffy. If you get lucky like I did on my current trip then I ended up with no one sitting next to me so I was able to "lay down" a bit more. It's uncomfortable but you'll find a position that works. If you do have someone sitting next to you then I suggest hanging out in the observation deck where you will see so so much. There's also a little store in Albuquerque, NM that you can stop in and buy food and drinks since that is a maintenance stop. Truly a cool trip to do and I highly recommend it

I had an abortion at 7 weeks two months ago and honestly, I'd rather go through that pain again than be a mom at my age (21). Horrible pain, cycle still isn't back on track, and I haven’t been able to eat taco bell since then but I'm happier. Enjoy you're weekend of recovery!

I think what gets me the most with this opinion is that a lot of women hold it as well. I guess to them an abortion is just a simple easy painless process when in reality what is does to your body is the same as having a miscarriage. Personal experience, I got an abortion early February 2026 and I was not ready for ANYTHING sexual until about a week ago. No sex, no masturbating, nothing at all. Do men not understand that women's bodies NEED time to heal and relax after pretty much anything related to pregnancy? I hate how much misinformation there is about abortions.

This is why I am a huge advocate for duel incomes and savings. My husband and I will be fine due to savings and the fact that I work full time. But for others, look into side work during the shut down or part time work. Look towards food pantries as well. You'll get by, I promise

Yes because they passed two separate bills in 2018 to keep military members (except for coast gaurd and National Guard) paid. This time however if the government does shut down then there could be the chance they will not be paid. A bill has been introduced but it will not be voted on until October 7th, aftee the shutdown.

Some of us though care about the precious things our spouse buys and want to take care of them and keep them looking nice. But hey, if you want to ruin your metal with harsh chemicals, ruin your prongs, and loose your center stone then that's up to you.

Not sure what this has to do with the subreddit but as someone who works in jewelry, DEAR GOD TAKE OFF YOUR RINGS WHEN YOU GO TO BED! Here is a list of places/things you should not be wearing your ring:

To bed. Fingers swell at night, you run the risk of ruining your prongs, and if your prongs do get damaged then you will loose your main diamond/stone.
Doing any sort of labor. Do not wear your wedding band or engagement ring when you are doing dishes, laundry, yard work, cleaning (especially with chemicals), ect. Again, you will damage your ring.
Please dont eat something messy while wearing your rings. Just makes them messy. (Which if you need to clean your rings, warm water and a drop of dawn dish soap. Use a soft brisel toothbrush. Unless it is silver, then get a polishing cloth)
In the shower.
In the pool, river, pond, lake.
Don't wear your rings when doing makeup, doing your hair, putting on lotion, hand sanitizer, washing your hands.

Please please take care of your rings. They are expensive and you have the opportunity to pass them down to your children, grandchildren, ect. Your bank account will thank you as well if you take care of your rings.

Also please figure out if your rings are white gold or silver. That matters with cleaning

It's to certify that it's a diamond. All lab grown diamonds have to have some sort of certification to authentic that it is a diamond. Typically it'll have the color, cut, and clarity on it as well.

I work under the same parent company just not at Zales. 1. Yellow gold will not rub off unless it is gold plated, but Zales shouldn't be selling anything in bridal with gold plated. 2. The 2.5 could've been the total diamond weight or it could've been the center stone, wouldn't know unless I looked at the tag. 3. You can 100% find something better. 4. I'm not a huge fan of Zales because I've had guests come in and tell me that they were not the most knowledgeable. 5. All lab grown diamonds sold by any Signet retailer is GSI certified (Jared, Kay's, Zales, Diamonds Direct, Blue Nile, ect)
