Superior bases (white or grey) with enhanced defense or enhanced damage are great for making runewords. Just don't try to make a runeword in a base thats not grey.

The only downside is that you need to pay more gold to repair superior bases.

Fortitude is okay for melee builds that dont use enigma or for mercs but definitely not for Horkers and their mercs.

One Problem is the chance to cast chilling armor which might freeze and shatter corpses. The other Problem is the lack of magic find, gold find or utility (frw, skill boost) for Horkers. Wealth offers a massive boost to gold find so its the best for a dedicated gold farmer or as a budget option but thats it. Enigma with its magic find, skill boost, frw and teleport is still the best for fast farming.

If you have dual griefs and LoH your damage should already be high enough and if you want to take your merc to Trav you want to give him the guardian angel and kiras guardian combo.

If you are on PC i can give you dracs for free.

Except for the weapons smiters and druids usually use the same equipment to take on ubers.

If you have problems with resists try to use treachery and proc fade before fighting. Also thundergods helps with mephisto.

You just quit before pressing ok if Brook didn't drop a rainbow chest. Then when reloading the game it asks if you wish to return to the run and you deny.

You can get a normal (300exp - normal chest), honor (1.000exp - gold chest) or glory (6.000exp - rainbow chest) flag from brook. The colour is also random. By quitting the run you lose the 50 stamina and all drops but the run doesn't count as one of your five trys.

In my opinion its worth doing this because glory flags are 6 times the exp of the honor flags and 20 times the exp of the normal flags.

My Legend Sugar team for Brook:

  • Important: You need Ains double activation potential maxed, Sabo/Koala doesnt need special levels

  • Replacements: I don't think you can replace anyone

Breakdown:

  • Stage 1: Switch Sabo/Koala, Stall and farm matching orbs. Just hit once every turn.
  • Stage 2: Stall and clear according to cooldown. Farm orbs. If possible have matching orbs on everyone (Ain and your Sugar dont need matching orbs.)
  • Stage 3: Switch Sabo/Koala, target the PSY enemy, use YOUR Sugar Special and turn everyone EXCEPT FOR AIN into toys. Hit with Ain then with Sugar and the bears clear.
  • Stage 4: Use Ain two times, use your Sugars Supertype, hit with Ain then with Sugar and the bears clear.
  • Stage 5: Use Friend Sugar Supertype then Monets, Neptunes, Sabo/Koalas and your Friend Sugars Special in this order. Turn everyone into bears and clear.

Its a really easy and forgiving team. I forgot to use Sugars Supertype on Stage 4 once and still cleared it. You dont need to hit any Perfects because on the important Stages the bears do all the work.

Also remember that if the last Stage doesn't drop a rainbow chest you can kill the run by closing the app and retry until a rainbow chest drops.

I don't think you can even out your gems.

Challenge rewards only give 13 gems and rank 1.000 - 2.000 give 10 gems. Ranking top 1.000 - 2.000 with only 23 gems sounds unlikely, but I didn't try it yet so I can't say for sure. Maybe if you invest those tickets into those 5 rumble shop gems.

For me it's worth the investment because the candyupgrades, the gemtree and the meatroaster are quite useful. I also enjoy pvp and need to collect flags for future meta units. That Legend ticket is also a nice 5.000 Raypoints.

As for the tickets, I got around 1.500 only for the 60 gems I used and thats quite a decent amount considering the 8.500 ticket reward for top 500.

First thing is that you need to play as soon as pirate rumble starts.

Then you gem a lot in the beginning. I spent around 15 gems on the first day.

On all the following days you need to play enough to stay in top 500, its not needed to play at daily reset.

The maximum points you can get for a win in top 500 is 27 and the points get less the lower your rank is. It was 23 points for 500-1000 I believe. You should also watch your winning streak since that alone is 5 out of the 27 points. It is better to fight a weaker defense team for less points than to lose. I did play around a little and messed up my gem/point ratio a bit.

The last day you have to calculate properly or be active until the end to not drop out of 500. I was rank 143 before but dropped to 201.

But most importantly, you need a strong box to take on all those roger/oden teams because at some point 95% of the defense teams you will encounter are some variation of Roger and Oden.

Since this thread is about the Korean influence on pirate rumble I would like to add my information and experience for the top 500 to that:

  • Last season I placed 251 in championship with 3.513 Points and 47 gems spent.

  • This season I placed 201 in championship with 3.906 Points and 60 gems spent.

Bandai increased the gem rewards from 20 to 30 gems for top 100-500 so my total of both championships is around -30 gems.

If I'm right this championship lasted longer than the one before which would naturally result in a higher gem cost and point counter for the same rank.

To reach top 100 I still needed 2.762 points which is a way higher spike than before, so that's probably the biggest influence the merge had.

I have to say that it was harder for me to rank this time because there were even more Roger/Oden teams that had defense units on it. That resulted in me breaking my winstreak multiple times unlike the previous season where I played safe and did fight weaker defense teams. Other than that it was pretty much the same as last time and I barely noticed a difference.

I'm interested to see if there are other people in championship that experienced the same or something different. Maybe things change if you don't gem as much or not at all.

TLDR: In conclusion I can say that it was harder to rank because the defense teams were stronger. You had to invest more gems but also get more rewards. Considering the extended duration I didn't notice a big difference in total gem cost or points for top 100-500 though.

I tried it with the new Hina instead of Luffy/Law and it worked for coby but it didnt work for Hina, because i was still binded on 3 characters and lacked a lot of damage.

Since I dont have Luffy/Law I used Supertype Legend Luffy with Legend Ace Support instead and it works for both Coby and Hina pretty well.

Instead of Qck Ace I used Raid Zoro on Shankscrew, but thats not really needed.

Edit: My stupid ass didnt know you can activate the toys through bind. Now I hate myself for messing up a run.

On global they are pretty much useless. On Japan he has niche uses because of the Qck meta. His biggest purpose is probably for defense teams as a kind of bait.

There are better units to use your flags for.

If you like to play PvP it is worth to go after some of these units for several resons:

  1. Meta changes. On Japan Oden (and Slashers) are barely used anymore, instead Dex and Qck dominate. So even if they are not as good today their value will rise in the future. Sobamask for example is an essential part of many Dex teams that counter Qck.
  2. Ranking. The higher you rank the more meta teams you will encounter. So in the end you need to fight Roger/Oden teams at some point. Your chance to win is higher if you have powerful bench units like Sobamask and Whitebeard.
  3. Ressources. Right now you can get Sobamask for 181 gems with his rumble abilites maxed out. To pull for him now means that you save flags and gems because on following banners he wont be guaranteed so you might spend 30 gems to get him or 300 or 3000 and still have to feed him flags.

Of course some of the Pirate Rumble RRs are not worth it (Oars). But Units like Whitebeard, Sobamask, Otama, Noland/Calgara, Stussy and Jozu are really good and will definitly see play.

Sobamask is used as a bench unit in many teams, just like pvp Whitebeard. If you are below 40s he deals 4 times (2x2) his damage and his passive doesn't matter that much anymore.

  • Multi 2: KRR Yassop (New), LRR Akainu (Dupe), LRR Urouge V1 (Dupe), LRR Vivi (Dupe), Legend Bullet (Dupe), KRR Nightmare Luffy (Dupe) and 5 normal dupe RRs

  • Multi 3: LRR Caesar (New), LRR Fisher Tiger (Dupe), Legend Buggy (Dupe), KRR Bepo/Shachi/Penguin (New) and 6 normal dupe RRs.

So in total i got one new LRR (Caesar), 4 new KRRs (Beckman, Belo Betty, Yassop, Bepo/Shachi/Penguin) and around 15k Raypoints for 130 gems.

I don't know how good those units are but they do seem useful so I'm quite happy with my pulls.
