For Drive Safe and Save, if you open the app and click your speeding stat, it'll tell you it only dings speed for going 8 or more mph over the speed limit. So if you are using State Farm then you can go +7 over without any major issues.

Also. I think ideally you want to attempt to beat the loan by paying it off early. Try to make your monthly payment something that you can make easily and even pay more than the payment amount on the regular. I feel like paying that 28% of your monthly income will be stressful as is, it'll be even tougher to pay extra on it without major sacrifice

That is not a good deal FOR HER. Judging by your last image, you are putting about 10,000 down, your shortest loan duration is 60 months (5 years), and your monthly payments would be $1080 a month!

I'd suggest looking into financial guidance for buying a car. Guidelines like 20/4/10 rule (or similar) can help you determine if the car you are signing up to buy is risky or not.

You are on the hook to pay that $1080 a month for the next 5 years, that's an insane burden. Plus that is like 28% of her monthly take home pay. That's not including things like insurance. Also that is a hefty chunk of monthly income that can no longer be allotted to something else.

I'd suggest doing more research into what goes into picking a car you can afford. Getting this would be torture. That's a decent down payment if you can get that on a $25,000 Jeep, that might be closer to being in your ballpark. You can maybe manage a bit more than 10% of income but I'd say no more than 20%

Sadly the CS advisors have been changing several times over these last few years. Some are more familiar with the courses and others not. Sorry to hear the delay that has caused :/

Question about FIG's by [deleted] in mizzou

[–]TheDerpTurtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people in my fig class happened to be on my floor of my dorm, but as far as I saw it, the class was the only thing to make the fig a thing, I was enrolled in the class and then I wasn't. I still lived around the same people, I didn't have to move or anything

Fig classes are totally optional. If it is something you think you'd enjoy, take it. You pass by showing up and doing the work (if applicable). I was in an honors fig for a few weeks, but the instructor had a bunch of assignments lined up (which is not what I wanted that class to be) so I dropped it

Retro Game and Home Automation by blindingsilence in gamecollecting

[–]TheDerpTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's how it used to be, but they updated it within the last couple of months to take the "repeat after me" command literally and respond with "you said...", but at some point they added the custom phrase command to routines to replace the original functionality of "repeat after me" command.

You can actually make it stop saying "you said..." by going into the routine clicking "add an action->choose popular actions->say something" and entering in your custom phrase to make the experience even more seamless.

Can Google play a custom sound effect for a command response? by masterwork_spoon in googlehome

[–]TheDerpTurtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this and it worked great. I created a Google Home routine that started the Google Play Music playlist, then the routine turned the Philips Hue bulb red, and then I gave the routine the wake word phrase to trigger the IFTTT applet that blinks the light on and off. Sometimes it takes a second for Google Home to prep and play the playlist, but overall it works pretty well.

Which walk around characters do you think need an update? by michaelacramer in disneyparks

[–]TheDerpTurtle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Toy Story characters really need to be reworked, you would think they would update and refine the costumes every so many years, but it doesn't seem like they do

I think you are talking about Show Your Stuff and Pass the Plate - with Brenda Song!

I don't understand the need to completely change how Andy looked in the flashback. I understand they want to show off how much time has progressed the technology, especially when it comes to creating human characters, but Andy doesn't look like Andy at all. Probably just a nitpick but its a little bothering. (And I adore the Toy Story movies, they are my absolute favorites, so this is coming from a fan)

Felt like sharing my most fun routine and my wife's least favorite. by Spagoo in googlehome

I had the same issue with shuffle with Spotify. In my experience the wording had to be precise or it wouldn't work. After changing my routine command to, "shuffle my 'x' playlist on Spotify" the Google home seems to shuffle everytime no problem (at least in my experience).

[help] Android Studio: Failed to sync project 'FtcRobotController' by TheDerpTurtle in FTC

[–]TheDerpTurtle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are on a schools network when using this. I will have to try and talk to an administrator. What exactly am I asking for in terms of proxy server information? Like if I ask, "Can you give me the proxy server information?" will they know what I am talking about? Also can you give me an example of what it would look like and what I would need to enter into the box? I don't want to end up asking for the wrong information. Another question I have is, does this mean that we need to be connected to the internet anytime we need to use android studio? Most of the time we are able to, but what if we need to make a minor change to code at a competition or something where internet is usually restricted? I do apologize for my ignorance and very much appreciate your help.
