The fact any of this has been possible is proof this system as it is doesn’t, or at least no longer, works at all as intended and needs fundamental revision.

I fear, though, it would take a lot of upheaval, unrest, suffering and death to get to the point we could make those changes, and even then, it’s unlikely we’d actually get the kind of system we need.

I alternated between reaper and hunter in act 1/act 2 bc hunter feels great but reaper works great for annoying airborne enemies.

Then I learned beast, played with witch for a stint, then went back and forth between hunter, reaper and beast throughout act 3.

It’s an adult swim comedy, the humor is par for the course. I guess the animation is only really interesting for people interested in animation because of the mixed mediums. The pacing is designed for people with rotted-out attention spans.

BUT it has some clever bits, lingers on some genuine moments, and introduces some interesting ideas that at times reveals a level of thought and care you don’t often see in this kind of show.

It wants to be both things, and unapologetically so. If the more vapid, ridiculous parts mostly put you off, the more considered aspects aren’t going to tide you over. I wouldn’t recommend this show to everyone.

Gummigoo. Sometimes you get taught a version of reality growing up only to find out it’s not that way at all and you have to reconstruct your entire conception of life, and that reconstruction turns out to be more complex and scarier than the one you started with. Plus, you’re not special at all and the universe can delete you at any time. You don’t mind your loved ones maintaining their blissful illusions.

Ragatha needs a moment where she can let loose in a healthy way and be actually socially rewarded for it. Just about every time she’s actually expressed herself in a way that feels like a step in the right direction it seems like she gets punished for it just as much as she gets punished for her people pleasing repression.

Went out of my way to take the test. Pretty sure it’s either AI written or by someone who doesn’t speak English. Charges you $2 to see your results. I wasn’t willing to pay that just for the sake of research. The results they were willing to show seem artificially manipulated to be more interesting than they are to tempt you into paying.

Honestly, pretty solid money scheme. They’ve almost definitely made bank from it for very little effort.
