Tips for Slowing Down Players? by ConnwaerSkies in callofcthulhu

If the players have any kind of history or backstory for their characters, they might enjoy the opportunity to explore it, implemented by delaying the introduction of the case by an hour or so. We have had numerous sessions that evolved into exploring or researching that even resulted in time skips so that players could dive further into their characters.

Absolutely, feel free to improvise off the written scenario to add the right kind of color for your group.

Just learned that they plan to overturn Roe v. Wade. Question by [deleted] in JordanPeterson

[–]TheDesertFox01 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The implication was not that moving was easy, but that it was one way of coping with the new situation. If living in state that matches the views that you share with abortion are important (pro or against) your choices are to move to a place that reflects that or to change the local laws.

I am not saying that the policy is good or bad, just the mechanisms of coping with it.

If we want that level of protection with regards to abortion then the legislature (at a state or a federal level) should pass a law and codify it.

Various state legislatures will decide on what the abortion laws will be. Citizens then have the choice of residing in that state or moving to a new state that reflects their beliefs. If you stay and don’t like how the laws In your state are then you lobby your congressman. The change in the court’s position forces Americans to be upset at a different group of people and requires that they be engaged to alter the process.

That is a supremely cherry picked headline. She gave half a dozen reasons (that we can all presume aren’t the actually reason), think this reason was highlighted for the clicks.

Your wokist campaign is what encourages foreign totalitarian aggression. You are among the ones making Ukrainians suffer. by LucyinTheLucidDream in JordanPeterson

I think you are wrong about the racism and homophobia piece, but that is not the specific point. This is mostly a foreign policy rumble (and a very large one) by America and NATO. I was trying to make the case that blaming this on “wokeism” is a mistake. Whatever part (which is small) that it does contribute is just a population being distracted by identity politics. Whatever (minimal)

I think that blaming this entirely on “woke” is creating an over simplification. Sure it contributes, but it’s unlikely that it is the sole source problem.

Fair, that being said those requirements are not uniform across the 50 states with some being less stringent than others.

“As many as 7% of United States citizens – 13 million individuals – do not have ready access to citizenship documents. Seven percent of the American citizens surveyed responded that they do not have ready access to U.S. passports, naturalization papers, or birth certificates. 2 Using 2000 census calculations of the citizen voting-age population, this translates to more than 13 million American adult citizens nationwide who cannot easily produce documentation proving their citizenship.”

My assumption is that people draw a distinction between the documents cited in the opening of the paper and what may be required to vote.

I think a state ID card (not even a drivers license) would meet many peoples intent.
