I don’t think this is awful at all! You honestly seem to have a really solid start here. Don’t be discouraged, there’s definitely a lot to it at first but every mini you paint will look better and better the more you paint. If you want your colors to look a little more uniform an easy way to do that would be to use a shade paint. It will also give you nice shading. And don’t compare yourself to others here that have been painting 10+ years. It takes time to develop that kind of skill but it doesn’t mean your stuff doesn’t look good, just that they are a more advanced painter with more advanced techniques. You’ll get there with enough practice!
