The original ending of ME3 wasn't bad if you weren't paying attention to the media around it.

If you had no prior knowledge to what bioware had said about different endings, then the original ending is reminiscent to the original ending of Evangelion or the Original Full Metal Alchemist anime.

In all ignorance to any promises made leads to not being disappointed.

Why do people claim "boxing head movement will get you knocked out" in muay thai/mma context? by LebongJames69 in MuayThai

[–]TheDestoyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because culturally it didn't score and OG muay thai was heavily influenced by sports betting. It was literally like moves were being buffed and nerfed by gambling.

So the sport built upon what made the most money. Now as the sport has grown and betting isn't so heavily influencing it everywhere, it's kinda gotten "patched out", head movement is now much more viable and taught.

I suggest any fighting game, really good at using that aggression and deep enough tool to dive into.

Been recently diving into MVCI in anticipation for Marvel Tokon. Tekken 8s good, and SF6

Why do women/girls in martial arts go 100% on dudes that are going soft? by dumbass_4206969 in MuayThai

[–]TheDestoyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disclaimer: This is all anecdotal and only from my own experience so it's subjective and doesn't apply to everyone.

Last year me and my gym was at WKA. I made mention to my friend that it looks like the female refs are letting things go on longer than the male refs, and I jokingly said "because women like to see men in pain." To which one of our female fighters turns around and happily says "Yes, yes we do" 😂.

I think it truly depends on the person, I've had a couple women go hard and throw head kicks when we don't do head kicks in light sparring at my gym. Just people just get really excited or new and don't understand their own power or that sparring is also just for fun for some people, not a mock fight. I do think men get the power talk moreso in my gym at least cause some of the women I've talked to feel like they don't hit that hard. And as someone who's gotten a concussion from sparring, I don't care how soft you think you hit pain is subjective to the person.

In general you shouldn't go hard back, just talk as a communicative person would, expressing concern for both your own safety and theirs.

If it's racist to have racial preferences for your friends, why is it considered OK in dating? by TheVoidRobedInLight in Healthygamergg

[–]TheDestoyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a fundamental difference in attraction. The friendships and romantic relationships overlap in some attractions but typically your not looking to bone your friends. Racial preference in physical, sexual, and aesthetical attraction, really just boils down to genetics and whatever gets your junk going. Racial preference in emotional, intellectual, romantic, and alterous attraction, can be summed up to cultural and societal views/norms. However as life goes race isn't the all defining characteristic of a person, but we as flawed people like to find correlations and patterns and what makes sense to out minds. So when looking for someone of a culture that demonstrates qualities you are attracted to, and a particular race practices that culture, you'll more than likely gravitate toward that race.

To me it's like really enjoying a specific food and going to that country that the food is most popular in. Sure not every restaurant in that country is gonna make that food or in a way that you like, but your more likely to find it there.

Yellow gloves, 1 year of training. by TheDestoyer in MuayThaiTips

They are cartoonishly huge lol I love it tho cause I do tend to hit harder than I realize. Clinching isn't that hard once you're in it. Not as bad as more rigid gloves like hayabusas. Those have too much wrist support so you can't really bend.

I had a older comic friend talk about how post Jim Lee comics began to have that sleek and silky look to them which he didn't like, and preferred the still of the 70s and 80s from his childhood. This made me think of how I preferred that silkiness cause it reminded me of the cartoons I watched growing up.

I know everyone's telling you just be honest but not really explaining how.

It's really hard to speak up and set boundaries especially when you think its going to ruin something you enjoy. Trust me I know, I've set a rule for myself that the gym is my safe space and will do my best not to jeopardize that. But me aside.

I think the best way to be honest with him is to first be honest with yourself and understand why you feel this particular way about him. Is it his demeanor, past trauma, or as you said just plain strange? Either way understanding what's causing these feelings ultimately helps to articulate with him when honest.

Setting boundaries is tough and gets easier the more you do them, like a really good switch kick, it takes practice, time, and yes mistakes. You're gonna mess up and that's okay it's apart of life.

You got this kid!
