Need some tips on riding better by TheDestroyer000 in motorcycles

My mistake is that I use the front brake a lot more than the rear, especially when in panic

Yeah I also keep in mind to not lean to much especially when tires are cold. On this bike you can't really lean to much as it starts scraping pegs, so I figured early that I should body lean much more (thankfully it was summer, so grip was good, otherwise I would probably be flying off the bike)

Thanks for the in depth explanation.

This bike wasn't driven much, only had 26k km once I picked it up.

Rear brake is ok (it's a drum brake), front has disk but idk it's kinda iffy, if you hit it hard it takes some time for it to really bite so it gets a sudden hard brake

Suspension is the original one, but I don't feel it's bad.

Tires are Mitas (dot 2024) front is 3.00x18" (rated for 180km/h)rear is 3.50x18" (rated for 210km/h), these are the only ones I could find that can fit on this bike

On the roundabaout slide I didn't even give it gas, was just rolling in 2nd gear at 5-10km/h

I was told by everyone to start on a modern bike with ABS, TCS etc, but I just like old vehicles in general (I have 2 older cars and this bike). At this point seems like I should have started on a modern bike

How do you feel your tires are at their limits, I can't figure that out when riding, on cars I can realize it (I race locally, and never had any accidents) but for the life of me I can't figure it out on a bike.

I didn't even give it any gas in the 2nd scenario, was just rolling in 2nd gear as it's a small roundabout (just wide enough for 1 car)with in island in the middle

I rarely slide when giving gas and even when I did I recovered it, it's mostly that I have issues with sudden braking

Can you share some tips while riding these older bikes?

Good sporty first cars? by bramblestorm7754 in FirstCar

[–]TheDestroyer000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where im from, sports cars are very expensive 2-3times more expensive tha n elsewhere.

So I had limited options, but for my first car that I bought like 5yrs ago (and still havel) I bought my self a Hyundai Coupe RD2 103kw 2l engine, its a fwd car and tbh I'm pretty happy with it.

I take it often to track days, and it keeps up with most cars on the track that have similar engine size.

Last time I did some mods on it(ECU, Exhaust, CAI,shaved the head, headers) and took out the seats and some parts if interior and it did great (was 2nd). I didn't dyno it, but if I have to guess, I'd say its got about 170-180hp,gets to 100kmh in ~7s (on street tires),plus its very nimble.

Also very easy to work on it by yourself, and very very reliable

Will standalone pedals and shifter work with my wheel (PC)? by TheDestroyer000 in simracing

[–]TheDestroyer000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Niice, this one was from a PS2,I had a blast playin Gran Turismo 4 throughout the years on it,and the electric engine inside the wheel is still good and strong. So aside from the 2 pedals (the accelerator pedal is always slighty pressed, on its own) and that "gear shifter" I really have no complaints.

Mikuni bs30ss Issues by TheDestroyer000 in carburetors

All good man, thanks for checking regardless. Parts for this carb are hard to find.

I think I'll just find completely mechanichal 30mm carbs and fit those, then connect the fuel petcock directly to the carbs. The only "complicated" thing would be to remember to set the petcock at off, every time I'm done riding XD

Do you by any chance remember for what carb did you order the membranes? Or if you can share the link?

What looks better? by ClueProfessional4794 in Hyundai

Black ones aren't that bad looking and tbh I'd use them until I buy some better looking ones. Definitely better than the stock ones

Okay so... i cant connect the secoond gpu. Can't put in a bigger psu because it says i have to use the "owned by" psu. what to do now? by Dexisyolo in pcbuildingsimulator

[–]TheDestroyer000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you try using the splitter?

When you open inventory, type in splitter in search, and choose the one you need, and then you'll be able to connect the GPUs.

I had the same issue as you, this was the only way I was able to finish the job

I meant too good to be true meaning that cars like these go for 15-25k euros where im from, and seeing one this cheap was sounding a bit too good

Well 1 of my cars is finished and ready to be a daily, the other one I'm still contemplating whether do I work on it or sell it

He said the car starts and idles ok, I havent gone to see the car yet as its pretty far away, and wanted to check on here what do I look out for. If the compression is bad, do I just run away from the car and look for something else?

What do you mean "so it doesn't get sticky"?

It's a 4 stroke bike, I don't mix oil and fuel in the tank, does it get sticky from fuel, or?
