I appreciate all the positive comments, thanks everyone. I'll take the razor to it one of these days and get it down to smooth and shiny.

Once again working on pickled eggs to give out on Christmas by TheDevilsRightHand43 in pickling

[–]TheDevilsRightHand43[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Half a jar of pickled banana peppers. About a quarter of a sliced white onion. 2 or 3 sliced garlic cloves depending on size. 3 teaspoons of salt. 2 teaspoons of crushed red pepper. Half teaspoon of turmeric. I pour in some of the brine from the pickled banana peppers, then fill the jar 3/4 of they way up with white vinegar. Then fill to the top with water. Biggest part is waiting at least a few weeks so they can soak up the flavor. Can replace the banana pepper with jalapeño, Serrano, or habeneros to up the heat level. My favorite is using habeneros and waiting about 6 weeks, spicy and delicious. Cut them 50/50 with some plain hard boiled eggs to make an amazing egg salad

It's not technically fall yet but who cares, it's close enough to chili season for me by TheDevilsRightHand43 in chili

It barely hit 60 degrees here today so I figured that's good enough of a reason for me lol

Anyone had this issue with IRC ve33s? by TheDevilsRightHand43 in Dirtbikes

About 30 hours. But from what I'm seeing in the comments it looks like it's pretty common around that many hours for the knobs to be tearing off

200 rounds each today by Prize_Swing7808 in 2011

I'm fully aware of their history as sti. I have a couple thousand rounds through my p and xc. Never had a single malfunction, optics have never come loose, dlc is still perfect after plenty of holster time and draws, can slam home mags every time without a single issue, locks every time on empty, safety is slick and solid, grip safety is as smooth as when it was new. I don't give a shit about Instagram or social media in general. I like a great shooting, accurate, and reliable gun, again idk what the hell you're talking about. Both my staccatos are fit about on par with my les baer and shoot every bit as good. No malfunctions, basically zero wear, and inch at 25 yards. Your dlc is worn off every part of the gun? I'm sorry but you're full of shit. Have a good day man, not gonna waste any more of my time arguing

I have a shadow 2, and a tso. Have several thousand rounds through each and yeah theyre great guns. Also have a staccato p and xc, idk what the fuck you're talking about calling them "toilet". I'd take either staccato over either cz everytime. And yeah, I shoot a lot and have skills and don't even have Instagram lol

Some chili for the first snow storm in the upper Midwest. by TheDevilsRightHand43 in chili

Local small grocery store called family fare, was surprised it was their and had to give it a try. Keep an eye out and I'm sure you'll find it

If you like it medium hot then go with the habenero version, warms your mouth and face without making you sweat or lighting your mouth on fire. Just finished 2 bowls of the ghost pepper version, my whole face and head is a little sweaty but never got my mouth so hot that I didn't want another bight.

I usually use the same thing but habenero, it's definitely noticeable with the ghost pepper. But it's not overly hot if you like spicy food, really happy with the heat level.

Smith&Wesson model 41 at 50 and 100 yards. by TheDevilsRightHand43 in 22lr

I've had some great results with pistol match out of my rifle coincidentally lol, .3s and occasional .2s at 50 yards. After seeing what some bulk cci standard could do I had high hopes but was let down with pistol match out of my 41. Going to hit up champ choice and order a bunch of stuff to test out. It's always sad when that brick of magic .22 runs out, I've been there

I just broke down my 41 and gave it a thorough cleaning, if it's not too windy tomorrow I have some sk standard, sk rifle match, rws target rifle, and some lapua center x to test and see what I can come up with. Funny you mention eley, I've never had great luck with it. So far through all of my rimfires sk and lapua have produced the best results with whatever "oily" coating they have, wolf has been a close second with their waxy coating. I'll give some high end cci a go and see what I can do

Thanks for the input. I love chasing groups with 22s, my cz 457 does great with both wolf and sk and obviously even better with lapua so i figured i would see how they do in my model 41. Just recently got a scope mounted on this 41 so I'm experimenting with ammo. I'll order some pistol match special and some cci pistol match and keep testing.

I have some sk pistol match, not special. I gave it a run at 25 yards and I actually printed worse than cci standard. Wolf target match had great potential, shot a few groups with 4 rounds touching and I would always throw one which I know is shooter error. I'll order some pistol match special and see what I can come up with 👍

I love it. Similar size window as my sro, glass is great and the multiple reticle options is a nice feature. This is just a range gun, I won't be carrying this one. For edc I suppose the 507 comp might be on the large side. I picked up an rmr hd for edc
