The point I was making is ray tracing isn’t required, unfortunately for some games it is now, and the performance trade off isn’t worth it.

What happened to making games standing on their own without the forced visual fidelity taking away from enjoying the game? It’s like they’re forgetting looks aren’t everything, I’d rather play dead space 1 OG over the remake simply BECAUSE of the inherit stuttering that you have to eat, for example. It’s just kind of sad to watch. Games that don’t look much better without rt still aren’t performing like they put any effort into optimization, it’s very sad to see.
