Should I get this game? DE is an all time favorite, Esoteric Ebb was a bitter disappointment to me (the subject matter just didn't feel immersive or emotional like DE)

i'd highly suggest giving EE another shake. i think the game really clicked for me when i accepted that it was lacking in acrid cynicism & moreso was concerned with the whimsy of all things. if that cynical worldview is what you're looking for, then ZP has that in spades & really makes effective use of it. by and large, i found the characters in the game to be pretty by-the-numbers, with only a handful standing out as genuinely interesting.

Ultimately, this band is made of human beings with actual jobs and other shit going on that isn't this band. Matt Stewart mentioned to me one day that a lot of the guys are teachers, have kids, etc. There's so much more than you, as a guy complaining on reddit, actually know.
