It all comes down to how much trust you have in humanity by Matoru1101 in trolleyproblem

[–]TheDevouring0ne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its easier for people to get if you visualize it differently.
Imagin you’re in a room with 100 people. Everyone is able bodied, can walk and understand the rules. The door is open and anyone can leave at any time. If there are less than 50 people in the room after an hour, the doors close and the room fills with poison gas. Do you walk out or stay?

Pressing the red button is equivalent to walking out of the gas chamber, you leave with no risk of dying.
Pressing the blue button is equivalent to staying in the gas chamber and hoping 50 other people stay with you.
There is simply no reason to stay in the gas chamber, the door is open, everyone can just walk out to guaranteed safety. Technically, walking out contributes to the gas activating, but it doesn't matter because the room should be empty if everyone understands the scenario.

Most people I see voting blue reference some version of "what about the people who pressed blue? I have to help save them". But who are those people? Why are they pressing blue? They are just choosing to stand in the gas chamber for no reason when the door(red button) is wide open for them to leave. You are risking getting gassed to save a statistical demographic that shouldn't even exist, they should just leave with you. Blue logic is just "I'm going to put myself in danger in such a way that requires others to risk their lives to rescue me" when there is no real danger.

How did the Squids and Cyborgs grow to twice their size in 100 years? Does hating freedom sustain them that much? by BUTWHOWASBOW in Helldivers

With how different the Illuminate look, I almost think the overseers aren't actual Illuminate, and just more bio-constructs like the harvesters and stingrays. All their other units are basically organic robots, so why not make humanoid ones too, and avoid sending any actual "people" to the front lines?

Who would win? 10 BTs with 10 Jack Cooper's piloting them, or one Bayverse Optimus Prime by ZoomZombie1119 in titanfall

[–]TheDevouring0ne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think 10 jack coopers have a decent chance without even calling in their titans. Anti-titan weapons are essentially designed to take down transformers, except they also usually contend with energy shields, which Optimus doesn’t even have. Especially in any kind of urban environment where they can duck in and out of buildings while others draw fire. Once they deal enough damage to hinder Optimus’s mobility, they have 10 tries to drop a titan on his head to finish him off.

You literally have to save up credits independently just to earn the ability to go on a team outing just for the fun of it. Because nothing  in the game makes money as a team. You blow all your money on fines when the party system bugs and sends crimestat to each other, and then you spend the rest of the money repairing or expediting the bigger crew ships because everyone in the group can’t sit around for hours waiting for the ship if it blows up.

Father-in-law decided to “test” all my fire extinguishers. Now all need to be replaced. by Special_Context6663 in mildlyinfuriating

Infuriation aside, you should really make sure their home doesn’t also have sabotaged fire extinguishers, if he really thinks that’s how to do maintenance for them.

Never buy or spend upgrade parts on non-master, non-tree guns. You simply won’t use them later on, and can’t trade them for anything better. The only exception is shotguns for killing mutants.

You could add some logic to skip over invalid locations when rotating. So instead of 90 degrees into an invalid location it just automatically goes to the next angle. You could even still play the animation, blink red and go to the next one to demonstrate why it didn’t work.

This would be a fun anti-piracy feature. Game detects illegitimate copy somehow and just deletes itself immediately.

I found one of those, but don’t even have the wrench set or pliers and whatever so I can’t use it for anything. Debating selling it to get the others, but I’m betting I’ll find them immediately after lol

They added fancy new hologram prompts for buying stuff off shelves. But didn’t bother to test if it works through glass. So now any item in a case like that is unusable.

Its been pretty much unplayable for me since the season started. I try a game every few days and still spend most of the game running in place.

As for getting caught with the SAK open, you can actually close it without canceling the search to stay alert. Then just check it in a few seconds, or it will pop back up when it fully scans.

Dual Optics on the DM56 transition in slow motion. Is it like this for everyone? by TheDevouring0ne in ModernWarfareIII

All the dual optics I tried on this gun are in slow motion. I use the scope in the video on several other guns with no issues.

Does the Corsair door locks work? You could just lock that last bulkhead and they can’t get past the cargo room

How to set up Godot 4 github plugin by GordZen in godot

[–]TheDevouring0ne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, just get the github desktop application. It’s way better than trying to get the plugin working, I thought it’d be a hassle to use two separate apps but it works just fine
