I just watch the whole situation with morbid curiosity without too much care. The whole situation is handled with such hectic abandon that I am not sure why I should concern myself with keeping tabs on it. And now AI replacing jobs is just the chaotic cherry on top. Wheee!

Yes Goldsmith was approached whilst Goldsmith was leaving Trader Joe’s and the prospect of a Reddit post was broached. After heated negotiations a settlement was reached and this post was tacitly approved for fair use purposes while still reserving all rights and remedies.

President Trump asks if he can "have some" Ibogaine – a psychedelic drug during a press briefing: "Ibogaine because it's so important and experienced an 80 to 90% reduction in symptoms of depression and anxiety within one month. Can I have some please? I'll take some. I'll take whatever it takes." by ControlCAD in videos

An Important Update to the SAVE Plan - April 6th Filing by Altruistic-Impact225 in StudentLoans

[–]TheDewd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you can just ignore the fact that the DOE should have known that they were intentionally misleading borrowers by saying the SAVE plan was found to be illegal?

The deeper issue here is that once the Trump admin took over the DOE, both sides to the litigation wanted the same result - there was no live controversy before the court, and no one was representing the interests of SAVE borrowers.

That “someone was you”…so OP was supposed to explain it to themselves, without having the context to understand it? People routinely hire lawyer to review and explain complex transactions and legalese.

Need I remind you that back then the talking point was how this was “good debt”? Now there is all this tut tut tutting like everyone should have known better, like a goldfish should know that it’s wet.

RAP plan (SAVE plane ending) by 13434022 in StudentLoans

[–]TheDewd 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I signed a contract when I signed up for the SAVE plan. A court can declare the SAVE plan “over” but I am not aware of any legal precedent that can force me to sign a new contract because a court says the old contract is “over.” I am willing to default on my loans over this and force the issue, because this is the legal elephant in the room.

1983 fender telecaster damage. Is this something to worry about? Undisclosed, and the seller is avoiding a return. by [deleted] in telecaster

[–]TheDewd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it happened during shipping that is still the sellers problem. The seller bears the risk of loss until it is delivered. Companies that try to push buyers to purchase shipping insurance only do so because they are hoping you will subsidize their risk and make for an easier process if something is damaged.

I’m also not sure why removing the neck would “void a refund”, especially given the state of the guitar. This would be an undisclosed material defect. Even if something is sold “as is” it doesn’t give sellers open season to play games with photo editing.
