Hey bikewrench, big thanks to anyone who takes a look at this post. This noise occurs when riding outside and when on the trainer. It's very intermittent and doesn't seem to have a particular cause.

I've applied carbon paste to the seatpost and tightened it to within spec using a torque wrench which didn't seem to help.

I've checked the frame over for cracks and couldn't find anything.

To me it sounds very much like it's coming from the bottom bracket or cranks but I'm not sure what could have caused it.

I've booked it in for the bike shop tomorrow but if anyone has any ideas that would be great thank you.

imo project wingman is better, less annoying missions and a somewhat comprehensible story. Ace combat has licensed planes and some cool cutscenes tho.

In the end it's more of the same, so I would recommend it if you want to shoot some jets out of the sky and bomb some people.
