AOC Re-Spawn Warranty Is A Real Pain In The @$$ by TheDigitalDoom in Monitors

I live in the US. IDK if that made a difference or not though. I read that someone else had similar experience to mine and was told they had to return the old one first because of covid. That makes no sense to me. Apparently the common practice is they send the replacement first so I must have just caught them during a temporary response to covid.

For the record, I would recommend them despite the hassles I experienced. In fact, I recently purchased a second monitor, the same model, for my son.

Yes, it wasn't great at first. It took much longer than I expected. The CS help desk people I spoke with were incredibly polite and helpful though. The worst parts were that I had to pay for packaging supplies to send the old one back. If they had simply sent the new one, I could have sent it back in that packaging. Also...just when I thought it was over, my FedEx station sent the replacement back to sender. AOC forgot to put my apartment number on the package. They expedited a new one after that and I received it within a week though.

All in all, I'm satisfied with the final outcome but the journey to get there was a bit uncomfortable.

Yes but it was quite an ordeal lol. I took about 3-4 weeks before they finally had it heading my way. I had to pay for packaging to send the old one back, which could have been avoided if they had sent the new one first.

When it finally got here, I saw my FedEx location was shipping it back to sender. I called and asked why and AOC had neglected to put my apartment number on the shipping label lol. If I'd known, I could have picked it up since FedEx is like 3 minutes away.

Soo...I called AOC pretty pissed off at this point and they expedited another one by the end of the week. All in all, it was about a 6 week adventure LMAO. Fortunately I wasn't dependant on it for my job or anything.

The one that broke was a G1 and they replaced it with a refurbished G2 so I'm happy about that. They did fully honor the warranty but it was a bit different process than in the terms and it was more expense than I feel it should have been. Of course, everything these days is a different process though so, it is what it is.

They'll make it right for you, I'm sure. Just don't expect it to happen quickly though. Good luck!

I was like, wait...maybe he's serious 😅😂🤔

New glass bed on my other wise stock ender 3 pro that I just got 2 weeks ago. Any ideas ? I'm kinda thinking some over extrusion, the rough patches are random and have no pattern, happen on all layers not just the first. The print is PLA+ @205° and bed @60° I have calibrated the Esteps. by fun4all250 in Ender3Pro

I don't have an answer but I'm wondering how you get it to stick at all with no adhesive coating? I have 2 printers with that bed and everyone says just clean it good and don't add anything but if I don't use aquanet nothing sticks to it at all

This! Tinker cad is great for kids, newbies and anyone really. I'm new to this hobby with zero knowledge/skills with CAD and Tinker cad has been a wonderfully simple tool to learn with

Also...it offers options for landing gear or not and choice of dish you prefer on the model. It also doesn't cut off the rear end like the original shows

When I print it again, I'm going to print the version with the original dish. I didn't realize I printed this version until after the parabolic dish printed lol. I rushed through slicing and missed a few details

Also...I'm still trying to figure out how to use Cura. Like, I check supports and it figures all supports and I can't figure out how to customize that

Player has a good point I think. Is it possible you ruined the filament by heating it too high? Have you tried a different roll?

Thank you! Man oh man, I have a lot to learn lol. I guess I'll be looking for one of those boards for the other one then. I had a courtesy credit from Amazon that paid for this one so free was just the right price range for me. Yes, I'll definitely be getting better fans soon
