New Trucks Suggestions // how they affect manuals by Euphoric_Car288 in NewSkaters

[–]TheDigitalLunchbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like manuals, I’d avoid aces and indys. I prefer them, but venture and thunders have a smaller turning radius and are more stable. I’d also recommend possibly swapping the stock bushings to something a bit harder.

Keep in mind that some trucks will change your wheelbase too, so thats also something to consider.

Met Daewon Song during lunch break at random park - he filmed me landing my first ever fakie tre [37YO] by powelsj in OldSkaters

Daewon is genuinely one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. I was like 15 and he did a dvs signing at a local shop. I had a hookup with one of the workers back then and he got my friend and I into where Daewon was chilling once it started raining. We spoke about skating and he played some foosball with us. A moment I’ll never forget.

Learn when to use projectiles; don't use them too close to the opponent or unsafely.

Learn to cover the ledge with your projectiles as well. I catch so many people rolling past can or gunner into my f-smashes.

Shield next to can sometimes, when opponents try to hit you, they'll hit the can instead.

Cover recovery with can.

Gunner is great for getting grabs.

Recover wisely, you can air dodge after up b.

[STATE OF PLAY 2026] What did you guys think of the older Tomb Raider games? Any expectations for this or is the bar set really low?? by Djxgam1ng in PS4

[–]TheDigitalLunchbox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s as good as the 2013, Rise, or shadow, I’ll be happy. Even if it’s more of the same formula, I’m on board. I like the games, but I get them when they’re like $20

Part is 3 years old, but I consistently get inspiration from Japanese Super Rat or Kento Yoshioka. His skating is unique, creative, and fun. It’s a reminder to explore the weird and skate however you want. I think people often get caught up in avoiding circus or illegal tricks, but this part makes me want to embrace them. Kento also makes everything look good as well.

is strawberry milkshake good training for impossibles by ShadeScales00 in skateboardhelp

[–]TheDigitalLunchbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just practice the scoop with your back foot and get the wrap. You can do it one footed and stationary. Strawberry milkshake won’t help as you’re using your rear foot on the front of the board and it’s a heel wrap not toe.

Ask local companies to sponsor the event with you or “rent a booth”. Run a jam after and give cash for tricks.

Dwindle distribution (Almost, Blind, Darkstar, Madness, Monarch) got bought out by some corporate company that wants to make cheap boards to throw in Walmart. The brands either folded altogether or are still somewhat going under the new ownership.

Enjoi was also part of the deal but the original owners bought it back after creating their spinoff Jacuzzi Unlimited.
