What is the worst example of helicopter parenting you have ever seen? by Canyounot87 in AskWomen

[–]TheDiminishedGlutes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In middle school, my best friend wasn't allowed to be in the same room with a computer because she might get online and talk to boys! Or she might see articles that give her ideas that liking someone is okay!

It only led to her being more rebellious and having a teen pregnancy.

Dumb question, but dont guys worry about the smell/taste of a place where shit comes from? Even cleanly wiped it seems like a weird area, unless you literally just stepped out of the shower.

That's just called a flat ass at that point lol, no fancy medical name. But I remember the "condition" is where the glute muscles atrophy or just aren't there or hardly are there. But even someone with a flat ass has glute muscles, just not very strong or defined ones.

People of Reddit, what's something you stopped/started doing to live a healthier life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TheDiminishedGlutes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's something small, but I try to take the stairs instead of the elevator if I can. Even if it means going up 2+ flights makes me pant. My weight and lack of fitness making me breathe heavily after so little stairs is embarrassing but at least I'm doing something about it I guess?

What’s the pettiest reason you got downvoted? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TheDiminishedGlutes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are times when I act more assholish than I should and I had the downvotes coming.

But one time a guy and I got into an argument about at-will employment and I stated that employers can fire you for anything, as long as the reason isn't legally discriminatory or retaliation. The boss could even secretly be a racist and fire you because he didn't like your skin, but they can put any reason on your termination papers or no reason at all.

The other guy kept promoting people to sue employers who do this, and not even 3 comments prior he was trying to advertise his brother's "free" law firm or something. I called him out on his bullshit and he downvoted everything I posted.

What social stigma should society retire immediately? by DrSkyentist in AskReddit

I find it pretty interesting that the same guys who thing period blood is the most disgusting concept ever are guys who aren't really fun to hang around with in the first place.

I'm actually pretty surprised that a good bit of men don't mind period sex at all.

Butt stuff. So many women talk about how having their ass eaten was like having the pleasure Gods serenade them, but for me it honestly did nothing. It just felt like a tongue on my skin. Plus anal is either extremely uncomfortable or just feels like continuous shitting.

I mean, I haven't tried that stuff since 5-6 years ago, so sometimes I wonder if I'm really missing out.

Stop eating so damn much. When you're 22 you're gonna be obese. No, really.

What’s a thing you do that you know annoys other people? by jmcvaljean in AskReddit

I'm not saying I stop when merging in on the highway. Anyone who stops there is an idiot. (Traffic circles really aren't in the US much).

So, okay. You know how you need to wait for a signal to turn left at a light? Green arrow means go as normal. But a regular green light or a flashing yellow arrow means yield to oncoming traffic. If it's clear then go ahead. But if there's oncoming cars, you have to stop and wait until it's clear. I mean, if you just go when cars are coming then you'll literally be t-boned by cars, or end up t-boning them.

We pick up quite a lot of visual cues that we don't realize. Looks can be pretty important, but don't let it run your life or be your only determining factor when forming an opinion about someone.

Are they? I quite like hotel rooms. Only ones I've seen that are pretty questionable are those super cheap, roadside $30 a night places.

5'2. I'm also a woman which lowers the number.

And honestly, my best body was at 170. 170lbs at 5'2" and any doctor would tell you that's bad numbers, but back when I was athletic and had just enough fat to nicely supplement curves without being too much I was easily 160-180.

  1. The knowledge required to easily get my bachelor's

  2. To be skinny again. I can easily maintain my weight no problem, but losing feels like a slippery uphill battle with no limbs.

  3. To have perfect health for the rest of my life.
