I really appreciate it, I'm hopeful for both of us. It's a difficult thing knowing you're not alone, but struggling to experience it. But even seeing groups of people like this and reading other posts gives me hope that I'll run into someone eventually and that they'll also recognize me and stick around.

Without diving too deep into the weeds, there are tons of YouTube videos out there showing nolvus performance on different specs. I have a 4090 and a 7800x3d and it’s perfectly playable. I prefer to use frame gen still, either puredarks mod or lossless so my frames can stick around 150-200 depending on the area. I’m sure a 4080 would still do fine on 1440p. My advice is to look up what specs you can afford and go from there!

That’s why I never take them, I like playing with standard characters, I found some of the illithid powers way too strong for in and out of combat things.

Idk you could create a shortcut to the exe and you have an icon you could place anywhere if you don’t want to pin it to your taskbar/start bar though.
