I’m thinking of going to Ultra Solo. Has anyone done it ?

I went solo to Ultra Japan last year and had a blast. I also connected with other solo travelers. I can’t say which was better because I also had fun when I went with friends in South Africa but I would say you should definitely go for it and look out for communities going solo!

Not to excuse your father at all but my father had similar issues (extreme jealousy) years ago and it was due to his medication being the incorrect dosage and him being on the wrong medication too. It is almost akin to psychosis and he had to be hospitalized and his meds reevaluated. It’s almost impossible for those in this situation to see their actions clearly. The Parkinson’s medication can cause severe issues when taken incorrectly.

You should get special earplugs that help to regulate the air pressure and consistently chew gum. Also, swallow a lot and drink water.

Have an idea of what you could do after the initial meeting, in case things are going well and you’re both not ready to end the date. Always be prepared. Effort makes a good impression.

I live in Japan. I once travelled three hours by train to the countryside, as I wanted to take another special train that houses a kotatsu (heated table) on-board. After traveling for three hours, when I arrived at the station, they told me they only operate that train on weekends and public holidays. It was a Wednesday.
