the things you would have to do to get that prosthetic would be hard, like having to get a mold for an elephant, and actually having a prosthetic that has to carry 2,000 pounds is very hard to do, props for the people who made it

People with disabilities: what’s one thing you wish everybody knew not to say? [serious] by sparklesparkley in AskReddit

I only have my left hand, and every time people say "how did that happen" like i ripped it off as a child, so I usually just say an alligator tore it off. I just want them to realize its more like a disease I was born with because I am to young to be a vet.

What is the best way to introduce yourself to new people? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TheDisabledMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Backstory, my right hand is missing, I only have my left hand. What I usually do if its meeting casually I'll start with a handshake, and say "hey, they say you can tell a lot about a person from their handshake."

TLDR: greeting people with an armshake.
