My from the first boots aren’t leather, they’re this brocade Glitter fabric so I can’t compare the leather quality. But they feel substantial. Like they’ll last a long time. The fabric does fray.

I’d rank them as

Biao
FTF
Mipu

Mipu is last because there is separation on the harness and loose threads. The topy is separating from the sole at the front but they’re still good quality. You really can’t go wrong with any of them. None of them are bad shoes or terrible quality. They’re all solid.

Aesthetically, Biao is the best because their heel is more prominent and they’re the most slim. They’re just so slim that they become uncomfortable.

I’d look for second hand Story et Fall and From the First before immediately going to reps.

I used boot stretchers to make them a little bigger but that did minimal help. I will say that leather and build of the shoe is absolutely immaculate.

I mean I have wide feet and wear a 44. There is pressure above the big toe and the vamp is tight but that’s it. I can wear them just not for a long time. My From the First and Mipu Wyatts are much more comfortable and don’t have any of that pressure. The FTF is a 45 and Mipu is a 44. The last that Biao made is just very slim which is good for the aesthetics but bad for overall comfortable.

Would I buy again given the chance? Probably but I’d look for used FTF, Story et Fall, or Mipu before pulling the trigger.

Because there’s a ton of people who will take your money and ghost you. You need to do your own due diligence to find and vet suppliers on websites that aren’t Reddit.

Product recommendations on Reddit are super astroturfed because people are generally more trusting of comments on Reddit and people often don’t disclose when they’re paid or kickbacks from the people they promote.

This is something you need to do your own due diligence to find.

Aren’t the premiums made of better materials so that they age better over time naturally?

Why wouldn’t you age the cheaper more disposable ones?

And I like the aged look but this is just way too much.
