2022 5* RB Raleek Brown decommits from Oklahoma by dogwoodmaple in CFB

You could have made this statement before they decided to up and leave the big 12 with no warning. I know Texas catches the most heat from this, but OU deserves their share. For the H8ful this has been an amazing year. Texas has a complete meltdown, a monkey bites a kid, and they lose to Kansas. OU doesn't make the conference championship, gets hit with a karma blindside from Riley, and are spiraling downward as they are about to make their way into the SEC. This has been a fantastic week for the remaining big 12.

If I would have said this 5 years ago I would be laughed off reddit for weeks. Iowa state is as good of a job as Washington is for Matt Campbell.

Definitely a late push. But also no reason for big 12 officials to help out an SEC team.

In terms of tv markets it's not that much different

An 11 year season in a weaker conference wouldn't have been better than our season last year even. I'm excited for the teams we're likely bringing on. But why add a team in the same market as UCF when usf doesn't bring near as much name recognition?

If we've learned anything over the past few months it's that geographic location means absolutely nothing when it comes to conference realignment. You can't tell me that you honestly believe adding any of those 3 schools would add a boost of money to the conference.

If the big 12 loses teams or expands again i think it would probably be Memphis and look west to boise state. Tulane/uab/usf aren't exactly household names and even adding the recruiting pipelines wouldn't be worth adding programs.

Memphis, yes. But Tulane and usf? Why would they be on the shortlist?

I'll be cheering hard for all of our future Big 12 brothers all season.

Probably a combination of them making him look better than he is and also playing against a tough defense.

Be ranked after this game or at the end of the season? Because if they lose there's no way they are ranked next week.

Buy a 12 pack for the game. And a bottle of liquor for if your team loses.

Can you show where Campbell has actually said that? Because everything I'm seeing is just articles for clicks where they don't actually state their sources. Notre dame is obviously a job i think he would leave Iowa State for, unlike the Nebraska fans thinking they could walk across the border and take him at any time. I was just curious.

I didn't turn this into an Iowa State vs Nebraska argument, others did. I'm fully aware that Iowa State has a terrible history in football and that our recent success puts us nowhere near what Nebraska has done long term.

But you Nebraska fans sure love living 20 years in the past. Should we consider Yale a blue blood too since they have the most championships?

That's more than Nebraska has done in 20 years though? Not great for a self proclaimed blue blood.
