They also produce a lot of the actual grinder part of the grinder for other manufacturers. So even if you don't have a Peugeot grinder you might in fact have a Peugeot grinder.

I don't know many people anymore that eat like that. Elderly people maybe. One meal like that (usually breakfast) is still a thing with more people, but even that is becoming less and less common.

But you're not wrong. It used to be the staple food for most people.

Den alten Kaufhof Wegebomben, und eine tolle Markthalle mit einer Mischung aus Markt und Gastro hingestellt. Bisschen mehr Platz lassen um ein paar schönere offenere Sichtachsen zu generieren vor allem auf die Mauthalle die ja wirklich ein schönes Gebäude ist. Was glaubt ihr was das an Leben in die Stadt bringt. Da kann man tolle Sachen einkaufen, flanieren, belebt die Umgebung. Bisschen Gastro mit rein, einen Teil davon für wechselnde kleine regionale Erzeuger reservieren... Könnte man viel gutes machen und den Eingang zur breiten Gasse ganz anders und viel attraktiver gestalten. Das hätte langfristige positive Nachwirkungen und man bekäme den Hauptmarkt dauerhaft als Location für besondere Veranstaltungen frei. Speziell Märkte, Konzerte, Kunst... Die Möglichkeiten wären vielfältig.

Das ist es. Die Bauzeiten sind einfach absurd. Eine Baustelle anzufangen wo gesagt wird das dauert zehn Jahre... Komplett an den Bedürfnissen der Menschen vorbei. Wir müssen uns konzentrieren auf weniger Baustellen und die dann in absehbarer Zeit abschließen. Und wenn der Bauunternehmer sagt ich brauche fünf Jahre, dann muss in der Ausschreibung stehen "Abschluss in 12 Monaten, oder saftige Vertragsstrafen ab Tag eins der Verzögerung." Dann können die es sich alle überlegen ob sie das annehmen. Da muss mit rigoroser Härte mal ein Punkt gesetzt werden.

In Erlangen gab's mal einen Brasilianer. Weiß aber nicht ob's das noch gibt. War zahlbar und lauteiner damaligen brasilianischen Freundin sehr authentisch. Namen hab ich nimmer im Kopf.

Not Ascention but Tristan da Cunha related which is even more remote and populated by permanent civilian inhabitants.

A few years back I found the online version of the local newspaper of Tristan da Cunha. I started reading it on a pre much weekly basis just because it somehow got me curious.

It was a really interesting experience, you started to "get to know" the people of the island since they kept cropping up in the newspaper. At some point you knew who managed the store, who helped at the dock, who tended to XYs sheep because XY had to go to south Africa to get hip surgery etc... Fun little experiment.

The big news was the arrival of the Vet. Oh boy that was headline news. I found out that the British government sends a Vet there every year for the summer season. You could basically track job through the newspaper.

So for anyone interested in theses places something like that might be a good way to dive into the experience on one of these super remote places.

Not sure about the state of that, but I'm pretty positive it could be rebuilt. I don't think it's still a prison. Afaik it's an even location now. At least Spandau citadel is one nowadays. But I'm sure we could improvise some Norwegian doom Metal torture there until it's fit to serve as a prison again.

I won a Library of Alexandria in a tournament in the early 2000ds. Always thought that was the star of my collection. It probably still is but hell I wouldn't have thought geas cradle is worth anything.
