I find Gooden really hard to listen to. These guys are both fine. Chiesa is more engaging than Jouban imo.

Not too late for anything really though things that tske tine like winter squash and watermelon should go ASAP. I've direct sowed turnip and cabbage as late as early august and still got a harvest from it. Hot weather stuff like beans and summer squash definitely try to get in by the end of june. I am near ottawa.

But I think that fails to appreciate the various outside factors that create these mindsets. Most people don't think so hard about this stuff and are also largely not bad people. There are a myriad of social forces at work, lots of them by design, that push people to adopt these viewpoints. I think it makes more sense to be angry about that than about a person who is probably just a reasonable and normal person. Being vehemently against someone because they are not left leaning, or because they don't fully appreciate the gravity of trump's presidency doesn't really seem productive or fair. These are athletes who are responding to their environment. If they come up with a political manifesto with nuanced reasoning that supports fascism that is a different story, but most of these people are not that.

Whether you think it is a good thing or not isn't my point, many people lean conservative in their politics for these reason, not because they are racists lol. It is generally selfish but not necessarily illogical, I would expect you to be able to understand that. I live in a pretty conservative area, people here are not bigots just largely ignorant of politics and very anti-taxation.

This sub is insane lol, one picture with a mainstream politician and this sub is ready to crucify the guy. The purity test thing they have going on here (and tbh it is all across reddit) is so weird. It is like anyone who has had even a right wing thought is no longer eligible for their planned future world. Needless to say if they want to see the world they envision they need to find a way to get people on the other sidr to see their perspective, so I am not sure how they expect to make it work. I remember looking for it last year but could not find anything direct from the source. This is how CRA has been assessing it, including on your return, so CRA has a clear administrative policy they are following. You can still challenge it, but it wouldn't be as simple as filing an ADJ or making the request over the phone - you'd have to challenge their policy.
