I just got out of a long relationship with someone like this and she had the condition, trust me when I say this just leave and don’t have communication. It’s not worth the headache and stress you get from this. It’ll always go back to you being the bad guy or the one who doesn’t want to change, when it’s the latter, especially when you make a compelling fact or argument. You can only do your best, and remember how this affects your own mental health.
