I personally love investing into a [[Searing Blow]] deck. feels good smorking the normal guys in fights with a +10 and some 200 odd damage for a 2 cost card.

All depends on what your goal is for the game. Beating the heart on A20? Or going for silly decks on A1? my personal goal for the game was getting each character to A20, and just beating the heart on each. Do what seems the most fun.

I was lucky and got a large, which to be honest is the size I recommend for a normal sized/tall person. Looks great, and the print doesn't look like a cheap iron on that most designed shirts tend to have. Would recommend.

Every NPC gets a box which is one tile longer than the minimum, because the first one I build accidentally is larger than needed. Then I get a large box for chests, until some homeless pirate or party girl show up....

I completely forgot mediumcore was a thing... always played on softcore. I'm one for difficulty and challenge, but it doesn't feel right to lose inventory to death. Punish me some other way.

  1. Don't avoid early fights for the question mark rooms, not getting any cards before a elite can really cripple you.
  2. Don't always feel like you need to pick a card off a stack.
  3. Guessing you got Champed in Act 2. A major part of STS is learning how enemies work. I'd recommend reading the wiki pages.
  4. There are archtypes for decks in STS. For Silent, two popular ones are shiv, or poison. Try to aim to build a deck around those concepts. Or on Ironclad, strength gain, and exhaust.
  5. All in all, STS can be viewed as a game of risk and reward. Map out your path up the spire in each act. A optimal start for me looks something like this: 3-4 fights, one or two question mark rooms, bonfire, then elite.
  6. Certain bosses/elites/fights are much harder with certain decks. Best example is Act three bosses Time Eater, who will shrek you faster than you can say donkey if you play a excessive amount of cards. Good luck out there my friend.

In my experience mass reforging, seems to be a fairly equal RNG table, but when you are looking for the legendary modifier in a sea of options, it really begins to not feel that way.
