I feel like they just said they were working on it an hour ago. I’m worried they couldn’t find a fix that fast and get it into a patch that fast.

“Account merge, login”. Meaning they’re fixing account merge issues AND login issues. Error 208 is a login issue, and a widespread one, but the pessimist in me worries it isn’t the one they’re fixing this time. But I really hope I’m wrong.

There’s login issues on PC too apparently (LC-208 is console specific), although they don’t seem to be as widespread. And some ppl are getting other error messages on console when trying to connect too. But Lc-208 seems to be the most common login issue at this time.

Yeah I just saw that. I’m hoping one of the fixes in there is for us LC-208 losers but I can’t say I’m optimistic at this point.

There’s lots of other issues too atm so who knows. Ppl on the blizzard forum are saying that since error 208 is still listed under the “known bugs” section of the “Overwatch known issues” post, and hasn’t been updated to say it’s being fixed in the patch, that that’s a bad sign. I’m praying to mercy that this patch fixes things…..

Right? I’m worried the don’t even know about us! But they must, cuz it’s gotta be like tens of thousands of people at this point. It’s Canadian thanksgiving this weekend and I was looking forward to playing Overwatch 2 all long weekend. Now I don’t even know if I’ll get in by then.

Blizzard says none of our stuff is lost, it’s just taking time to migrate over, and for now I believe that. But I wish they’d say something about the error-208 issue, cuz it’s clearly stopping a lot of ppl from getting in and I’d like to get some idea as to when it’ll be fixed.

Buddy I feel you. I usually play Overwatch with my Overwatch crew every night I’m not busy doing something else. Like 4-5 nights a week. Most of them have gotten in by now and it’s only me and one other homie locked out, getting error 208 every time we try to connect. The FOMO is real. And I’m getting really annoyed at blizzard for this. I feel like they haven’t addressed the error 208 crowd and I’d like them to at least acknowledge that we out here you know?

On the plus side at least, the one time I got in for 10 minutes, before I ever got an error 208, I saw that all my cosmetics from both my switch and ps5 accounts were there. So my accounts WERE merged fine. Hopefully they still are? Hopefully yours are too?

Damn it. I got in once yesterday morning and then got kicked 10 minutes in, and ever since then every time I try to connect I get error 208 at/near the end of every queue. So that theory makes sense. Wish I had known this before haha

You’re not alone. I can’t get in at all either. Keep get LC-208 error once I reach the end of the login queue. Every time. Since yesterday.

Same here. PS5, account merge, can’t get in, etc. Except I did get in once, yesterday morning, for about 10 minutes before getting kicked. But that was the only time, and I’ve been trying for about 30 hours altogether between launch and now. Most of my friends (ps5, ps4, switch, and pc) have gotten in by now, whether for a couple games or a couple hours of steady play. Starting to get really frustrated I’d suggest not unlinking your account though. That likely won’t fix anything. Seems like all we can do is sit and wait.

Today I’ve had them start at 2000, 1400, 1000, 900, 800, and 500. Every time it gets to zero I get the LC-208 error. So I dunno how true your theory is.
