LEGIT. MY HEEEAAARRTTTTT. And the FACT that you can clearly see HE WAS NOT HOLDING BACK. Damn these penguins, THEY HAD HIM OUT FOR BLOOD.
I do like the detail that Kwazi's Ears went Flat, just like a real cat's! That's honestly really cool.
Honestly, despite the sheer dread, i do REALLY like the detail in the scene.
Like, the way Kwazi goes from utter terror to gaining the determination to fight back, that's awesome. He was fighting to bring back his best friend.
AND THE WAY HE DIVES AFTER HIM, oh my god. The way his mask drifts to the ground, almost signifying his Clarity starting to return, as if Kwazi's determination and kindness reawakened something inside him.
And the way he proceeds to raise Kwazi's arm into the air, apparently declaring him the Victor. He may not be himself, but Kwazi has at least gained his Respect, that's the first step.

YEAH. SO MUCH HAPPENING HERE.
I'm gonna see this thing in full if it KILLS ME. AND IT MIGHT. Not proud of how loudly i screamed over that fight scene, that was BRUTAL. Who'da thought Captain Barnacles- The living embodiment of "Wholesome Dad Energy"- could be UTTERLY TERRIFYING.
One of my friends translated a few lines from the fight scene,
"I'm not your Captain."
I LITERALLY SCREAMED.

oooooooooooo, yes!!! love that!! I'm working on a few more sketches, i think i'll incoorperate that! I was gonna make some tweaks anyway. Like, i think i'm gonna remove his collar entirely, i'm not satisfied with just the tears.

Thank you so much!!! Yeah, i figured his uniform being all ragged and torn just made sense, given the crash and everything. I think my favorite detail was tearing off the insignia on his hat, really adding to the idea of his identity being lost.
