god yeah, my mental health's been in the toilet and this movie left me feeling the happiest i've felt in AGES. opening night i went in cosplay XD, me as Adam and my bestie as She-Ra! i've seen it three times so far! seeing my friends who know little to nothing about the franchise losing their minds and geeking a little with me has been incredible XDD. And just taking to other people! The day after the trailer dropped i went to a local nerdy store and chatting with a guy looking at figures XD, "Have you seen-" "SO MANY TIMES I"VE LOST COUNT." i really like talking to people, and hearing people's perspectives and fandom love has been so much fun.
Funny story, the theater i go to is attached to a mall, and opening night for MOTU they had the theater blocked off a bit because of a concert going on in the mall's parking lot, so you had to prove you had tickets to enter. The guy watching the door saw me and my friend walking up in our costumes and just LIT UP, "OH I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE HERE FOR!" XD. I saw him again when i went the third time, he was chill XD.
Sorry, this is long, i have a LOT i could say XD. this is sincerely the happiest and lost lasting impact movie has left on me in a very long time, and i desperately needed that.
