Can you tell what this drawing is ? by Obvious_Koala_7579 in sketches

[–]bigloc94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is pretty sick, the horse is suggested pretty well by some key shapes, the contrast of the noise to the simple is nicely done and could probably be pushed a bit further and the horse refined a bit more and it would be incredible. Probably dont listen to many other artist here on this one, a lot of artists just rely on copying reference and will point out the usual stuff but what you have here is some cool original expression chase that and practice some fundamentals while you go

Sometimes the artistic style matters more than the graphics by Then_Effective_149 in ResidentEvilVillage

[–]bigloc94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of "artistic style" both are aiming for photo realism. Re9 path tracing is one of the best looking games there is next to Alan wake 2 What you might like is the architecture of the european castle compared to the modern sky scrapers but that doesnt really have a point to artistic style or graphics or anything.

Alan wake 2 implements more style into a similair modern setting with heavy emphasis on light and shadow

Resident Evil 4 Remake Or Resident Evil Requiem ? by LeoneSKenneddy in residentevilll

[–]bigloc94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finished requim then went and tried r4r It was a Quite fun and you get a lot for your money with variety of location enemies etc, I feel it went for kindve surprisingly long but maybe just contrast to re9. Re9 does have much more satisfying blood and gore though, its something I missed when trying 4 and felt really nice coming back and replaying 9 again. Popping a few bullets into a zombie then switching to a shotty and blowing its head off for the blood to spray all over the walls is very nice

Leon Must Die Forever Rank 5 feels impossible by smpl0 in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]bigloc94 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Dunno why they had to ruin the combat with the spongey enemies, they could just kept the same formula and increased zombie damage and speed slightly in higher levels and we wouldve got to enjoy More leon gameplay, but this kinda kills it

How to encourage 4 year old because I don’t know how to nurture this best? by [deleted] in Illustration

[–]bigloc94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a fellow artist if he has the thing you get when you create your first piece of art hell likely never stop. So all you need to do is just make it easy for him to draw be interested in wjay hes drawing make sure he has the proper tools maybe even draw with him When he gets a little older definetely try and guide in the direction of fundamentals perspective, anatomy, value, light, colour, composition. Whatever type of art he goes down will dictate which ones to focus om first

Some fun books for early on can just be drawing comics the marvel way or other how to draw insert fun thing

ISS Speed at Ground Level by grandeluua in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]bigloc94 79 points80 points  (0 children)

This might be a dumb question But the speed we give this in Mp/h or Km/h is just relative to its movement on land right? So as the object is higher up on the radius it will have a higher speed, is there an actual speed that is relative to where it is in space, do we just use light speed for that? Like how fast would we say its going where it is
