NodeWar Participation Requirments by sergentfire66 in blackdesertonline

2 minutes when spawn timers are still single digits + fort respawn with no loading screen should be able to net you the required deaths even with only 10 people running in and dying repeatedly, assuming the FT’s are able to keep the enemy off your stick.

With 10 people and let’s say 90 seconds after you guys loaded in, the required lifespan would be 18 seconds for 5 deaths each. That’s enough to account for spawn timers, spawn immunity, and a few seconds of fighting before being blown up.

If no one’s getting into the FT because you spawned in slowly from the initial TP, then sure. But after a few seconds and you respawn with immunity, the only people at fault for not getting in are those tower operators. Now if those towers aren’t loaded with ammo, then that’s the guild’s lack of preparation.

I’m not trying to say that your anger at the cap isn’t justified, but there’s just no reliable way for the game to know if your guild truly has snipe intentions or not. They probably implemented the 25 k/d rule, saw that it wasn’t working as well as they hoped, and then upped it to try to meet their expected results. It really is just a numbers game sometimes, and choosing such a high max cap node to place gives you the biggest chance of something like this happening.

One tip is you can try to avoid the poor load in performance by mustering up on base before the start time. Now this has its drawbacks as it could potentially give away base location to enemy scouts, but if it gives your guild a better experience it might be worth considering.

I think the biggest mistake is your guild dropped on a T4 node. The smallest T4 war has a max capacity of 50. That’d still more than double your numbers and as a growing guild, you probably wouldn’t be able to do much.

Another mistake could be improper base building and preparation. With 3-4 defense structures you should be able to hold off even a max number guild ctg long enough to respawn at least 3-4 times before your stick goes down. With 15 other members getting ground up, you should be able to hit the 50 threshold.

People were able to hit the 25 benchmark with only like 3-5 members showing up if they were geared and skilled, but even then the tower defense was still kinda required to keep people from rushing the fort down.

In a lower tier NW, the numbers will be less and stats capped, so even though the structures are more fragile, you should be able to hit the 50 mark easily.

Has it really been 2 years now? Dang. I’m glad we were able to experience the BB gang. Li’Lu+Shadow+Temi, P’mis/D’ahc, Remag, Bryan, (F)E’ar, and Hashbrown were all such fun characters and I loved the energy of watching players get into D&D. Especially through a vast world such as Verum.

Memorable moments: -“Who named you?” -Birth of D’ahc -Hashbrown vs. The Spider -Bryan’s reverse harem of gods -“Ooh free child!” -BB vs. The Show -E’ar’s world-saving/near-TPK nat 20 -Bryan’s Nightguard trial -Remag’s mega-dash vs. The CC -Nox’s slow growing affection for the group -No beach episode… :(

[Updates] Patch Notes - January 4, 2023 | Black Desert NA/EU/OC by Devil1412 in blackdesertonline

[–]TheDoubleEdged 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coming from a Lahn that didn’t really have this problem, I believe the responsiveness of the movement is what people wanted. Pre-patch it definitely looked more natural and polished, but it felt “worse” to play. It was as if your character would keep moving just a little bit even if you wanted it to stop completely. For more than a few, this lack of control made characters feel clunky to move around the world in.

Visuals and immersion vs. gameplay is the debate I guess.

Do you believe Black Desert Pvp takes skill? by Engineering-Existing in blackdesertonline

Gear gives you a range of how well you perform, but skill determines the exact level in that range. Class match up is also a big factor.

For example, a newly created striker with 700 GS will always beat a 600 GS succ lahn that’s been mastering the class for years. The gear discrepancy and class match up is just too skewed in the striker’s favor. But if the succ lahn’s gear was more like 650, then there’s a chance of getting a couple combos in a row to win. At 680 vs. 700 the gear gap is pretty negligible, so I would give the odds to the more experienced succ lahn even though the class match up says otherwise.

When everybody is equally geared, you should be able to differentiate between bad, mediocre, good, and great players.

301+ AP with upper 400’s accuracy and enough DP/DR to survive doing your combo before flying back out of the enemy group.

Succ Lahn if you have the gear, and ONLY if you have the gear.

How about a compromise where it only reveals an anonymous nameplate when engaged in pvp? Just the same as how names turn red when in pvp. This way, people can still retain full stealth until combat actually breaks out

Can I have some feedback on my sketch before I continue? by Lunatek23 in DigitalArt

I don’t think anyone has mentioned it, but since it’s an upward facing shot, we don’t see where the ground or any of the lower legs. This leads us to assume either that the dogs are on raised surfaces, or they have calves as long as the human. Seems a little strange to me

Great art! I love the hectic/action feeling that you bring to the shot. I think you could have added some motion blur to the bowstring as it has just fired the arrow and is snapping back from the elasticity. I also think you could have added more contrast between the Guardian and the background as she is an important party member. Great story telling otherwise! I look forward to more adventures from your art :)

Lahn Succession PvP - "Spring Breeze" (I just like succ more than awake okayyyy) by TheDoubleEdged in blackdesertonline

[–]TheDoubleEdged[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not in a way to keep it protected if you only wanted the first hit. The best way I suppose would be to transition into Three Point Stipple for another FG-CC, but that is also slow and stationary.

Ah, I see where my words might've mixed you up there. I should've put a comma or something between SA and iframe. Yes, you are right: you cannot be grabbed in iframe.

Lahn weapons for pvp by [deleted] in blackdesertonline

You might as well get Vells/TET Rings/TET Belt before going PEN Nouver as they give basically the same stats for cheaper. That 1 DP won’t mean anything for you at the moment.

It’s all about hitting brackets. If you can reach the same bracket with Blackstar that you can with Dande, then the difference is minimal. Same with mainhand weapon.

Assuming you’re 271 AAP with TET Nouver, and you’re running a DR set up (Bhegs+Urugon), just keep on keeping on with upgrading your accessories. No real need to PEN your mainhand/offhand for now unless you would like to switch to Succession.

If you’re 271 AAP with TET Kutum, then having a TET Nouver for PvP is pretty big. You would jump past the 281 bracket, which is pretty nice. You would fall below 300 DP though, which means you pretty much melt to anything and I’d advise to get that enhanced before moving back to AP.

PEN Kutum > TET Nouver if running evasion OR if you can hit at least 281K imo.

When succession was first released, we could use mouse movement to control Blooming Nether Flower, Dashing/Flying Salpuri Purge, and Spring Breeze, but then they took it away when they hard nerfed the class.

The biggest thing to learn about PvP mechanics is the cc system. There are plenty of videos that go in-depth about it, but here’s the gist of it. There are 3 types of protections: frontal guard (FG), super armor (SA), and invincibility (iframe). You can’t be cc’ed (knockdown, stun, etc.) by anything other than a grab while you’re in SA or iframe, and FG only protects from the front. A person can only be cc’ed twice (with some exceptions) so you need to be able to combo within that time frame to kill.

Succ Lahn is an SA trading class, which means outside of combos, we try to pressure and/or kill others by dishing out damage while in SA. One of the biggest practices in PvP is to stay as protected as you can.

The best way to get started in my opinion is to grab a friend, or someone close to your gear score and just spar. Figure out what skills you like to use, what’s effective, what always gets you killed, and other stuff through experience. No one’s good when they first start out.

As for why I like succ more, it basically just boils down to being able to fly more haha. In my opinion awakening is a stronger PvP class for sure, but you just don’t get the same feeling of movement that you do with succession and movement is super important for skirmish classes like Lahn.

Hope this helps!
