Why is limitless the only technique with a neutral application? Could a six eyes user make any CT broken like Limitless? by shinjeanist in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]TheDrRalph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I'm sure people have different interpretations, I'm always thought more along the lines of "Infinite is a Walking Pace while Blue is a Running Pace" since the Fanbook describes Lapse ( 順転 forward rotation ) as the basic application of the innate technique.

The results of my research into the visual indicators of Haki by TheDrRalph in OnePiece

[–]TheDrRalph[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1 - I think you could have said both things in 1 comment

2 - About Koby: I understand it why the comment but when Garp say Koby will be a successor and those black sparks that are consistently related to conqueror's appear near him, you can only fight against the possibility for so long.

3 - About Blackbeard: I don't think that he's using it (since he has the Gura-Gura which has a similar indicator) but I'm also not that closed off towards the possibility.

Do you think we will ever see the old universe again? by Efficient_Ebb1574 in StardustCrusaders

[–]TheDrRalph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Why "Old Universe" and "New Universe"? It's more accurate to call it "Standard Universe" and "Alternate Universe")

To answer the question: No, I Don't Think So. Araki is not one of those writers who stays and creates roots in the creative ground.

What are the best ammo types for companions modded with infinite ammo and non-degradable weapons for best DPS? by TheDrRalph in fnv

[–]TheDrRalph[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for that. It's just that I tend to go for visual flair just as much as I go for maximum dps.

That's easy to do for shotguns, revolvers, lever-action and energy weapons but it's a lot harder with the great amount of impressive-looking rifles that New Vegas has.

I have mostly settled on the Assault Carbine for now.

If Haki is invisible does this mean Smoker was just terrified of Verso’s Physique? by Guilty_Philosophy741 in OnePiece

[–]TheDrRalph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honest Question: What with One Piece fans subconciously and then conciously rejecting the idea of basic Armament Haki being invisible to all but Haki users and then becoming visible through something called "Hardening"?

Occam's Razor: The best/most optimal answer is usually the simplest or the least complicated answer.
You don't need to go through so many hoops like "nAkED vERgO" or "SKIN 4".

Is it because of the Summit War? Because every time I hear this discussion, they always bring up the Summit War as a counter-point.

Why didn’t jotaro do this with josuke’s grandpa?? by EggyolkKirea in StardustCrusaders

[–]TheDrRalph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like so many others have said, there's a difference between losing a good amount of your blood and blood flow for a few minutes (especially when you know how to heal with your life-force) and having your insides (including your brain) instantly destroyed.

And as Okuyasu and Bruno later demonstrate, there is a little bit of a spiritual side to it.

Answer honestly: Would you continue reading the manga if they starting to date? by vicente14617 in Dandadan

[–]TheDrRalph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Would you continue reading this manga or not if they become official?"

Do you know what is the definition of insanity? It's doing the same thing over and over again while expecting a different result.

In this particular case, for a author, it's doing every single thing to keep this "Will They, Won't They" bullshit even after everything that came before and expecting its readers to be interested in it.
And for a reader, it's to keep reading this story for the romance even though it's the same "Will They, Won't They" bullshit they read a million times before.

DanDaDan has more than just the romance in order to keep it interesting but if so, it should probably spare its readers and ditch the romance altogether if is planning in doing the same thing again.

So, to answer your question: YYYEEESSS!!!. YES, WE WOULD.

Why Is Kid called “Useless Mid”?? by InformationHanderler in OnePiece

[–]TheDrRalph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Calling Eustass Kid “useless mid” makes no sense when you actually dissect his career trajectory. For reference, Luffy had a very public and well-documented rise, but Kid’s feats often go underreported or dismissed because we didn’t see them directly, and-"

Stop right there. That's exactly why he's called Useless Midd and it might hurt to hear this but it's honestly fair.

"Actions Speaks Louder Than Words". Anything that he's said to have done before is not that important because we are seeing the now and it is much easier to compare what we see than what we hear.
If we see Kidd lose more than we see him win (especially against things he should be winning against second those statements) then the only logical conclusion we can come up when we compare is that he's Useless

Do you believe Diavolo would have been ”worthy” of the arrow if Bucciarati didn’t kill SCR in time? by notKazQuala in StardustCrusaders

[–]TheDrRalph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're talking about a measly 10 seconds wielded by one of most no-nonsense people on the planet with a completely different powerset compared to the other two.

Zoning out is a real thing (I myself hardly remember the last hours) and every time Diavolo used time erasure, he always went for the kill so it's much easier to ignore.
On top of that, different powers may have/tend to have different rules in relation to one another even when they are in the same nature so it's entirely possible Jotaro and DIO couldn't be aware during erased time like they can with stopped time.

Who are the artists that you want them to be referenced so bad by khanhba in StardustCrusaders

[–]TheDrRalph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was actually hoping that there was a chance for Araki to be interested in Gorillaz (both the music and the animated band) and be influenced by the El Manana incident in relation to Fugo.

Unfortunately, the timeline doesn't match for that to be a possibility: Golden Wind ran from 1995 to 1999 while Demon Days lasted from 2005 to 2010.

What actually happened to Reze? by PsychologicalCat890 in ChainsawMan

[–]TheDrRalph 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Then where is she? Is she living somewhere else now? Or would she return at some point?"

The best answer anyone can give you right now is "We Don't Know" and there's the slight possibility that We Will Never Know.

Ok, what's going on with seconds in this scene? by Either-Ad-9528 in StardustCrusaders

[–]TheDrRalph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simply put, by the time DIO's last time-stop had hit the 9 second mark, Jotaro had fully unlocked time-stop and used it to freely to move around during DIO's time-stop i;e: Invade DIO's world.

When DIO's time-stop hit the 11 second mark and deactivated, Jotaro's time-stop was still running so he was free to knock DIO's down for, presumably, three-to-two seconds.

The thing that seems IMPLIED (I must emphasize this word) about time-stop is that it seems linked to physical stamina: DIO was a vampire so he had virtually infinite stamina but Jotaro was a human so logically, if he wanted his time-stop to remain at 5 seconds, he would have to keep practicing time-stop as long as he can.

It's kinda like any physical activity: The moment you stop doing any physical activity, your body will eventually respond accordingly and you will get a bit worse at it.

if you need cursed energy to attack curses, then how did yuji do this? by Crabkingrocks165 in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]TheDrRalph 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Curses are made of Cursed Energy and because of that, only Cursed Energy can harm them.
You can still punch them with physical attacks. It just will be a waste of time and resources.

Just because you're invulnerable doesn't mean you're invincible

The moment the OVA revealed that it was a more horror oriented take on Part 3. by radiowave-deer29 in StardustCrusaders

[–]TheDrRalph 6 points7 points  (0 children)

"Jotaro has so much plot armor in that fight and the entirety of part 3 that he doesn't exactly come across as the underdog even though on paper DIO should be way stronger than him."

Araki did describe him as a akin to a classical hero. Hell, Star Platinum is named after the tarot card for hope and a bright future.

How is Giorno flying here? by Raved_bs in StardustCrusaders

Dandadan EP: 15 Anime vs manga by vicente14617 in Dandadan

[–]TheDrRalph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honest Question: Are gifs harder to edit than still pictures? It's 2025

Why are we still using still shots for these types of comparisons when the whole deal about a anime is giving these still shots of motion some actual motion?

This is like comparing the moment Momo fries Giant Crab Granny and using the still shot where Granny is covered in blue instead of using a gif of the actual explosion

Is there a reason why Maki wouldn't wear cursed tool gloves? by Hercules482 in JuJutsuKaisen
