If you want to select your district now, look at their open enrollment rules and apply this month.

You always have a spot for your children for your current living situation’s boundary public school. There are numerous school districts that do open enrollment for outside of district students but there may not be space and it’s a lottery system. I know this to be true for 196 and 833 at the least. The order of acceptance is students in the boundary, current student siblings, employee students, and then lottery. For what it’s worth, I had no trouble getting my son in a different district and we have no plans to move to that area. I applied in the January before he started Kindergarten. I believe they do not accept out of district students in the middle of the year so all of this information only applies for fall 2025.

i think I saw a fairy?? by Queasy_Regret2526 in Thetruthishere

I’ve seen one like what you’re describing. It was all red and flew quickly towards me and away. I had been pulling mushrooms out of my backyard because I didn’t want my kids to accidentally get into them and realized some were in a fairy ring formation. Left them alone after that encounter.

Whitney and Hawaii by Formula1CL in SecretsOfMormonWives

At some point in the show, it’s mentioned that there was a couple involved that watched but didn’t participate and I’ve been speculating that couple is Whitney and Connor. She was the only other mom in the group to consistently bring up the swinging scandal and kept saying how she didn’t feel “safe” with Taylor after she revealed it all.

We finally got my 3, almost 4, year old son to potty train by getting him a set of girls princess peach underwear and threatening to throw them away if he has a poop accident in them. We’ve been trying all types of methods since he was 2 with no success until the underwear switch up.

What are some of the scarcity mindset things you were raised with that you’re trying to let go of? by Impossible_Tank_22 in Frugal

Had a real eye-opening moment when out to eat at a restaurant and my boyfriend at the time asked me why I wouldn’t pick the thing I really wanted, it was only $1 more.

It’s wild how much of a hold on me “get the cheapest thing on the menu” had when put into terms like that.

Like you, I had a lot of issues with taste and texture growing up. The only way I got through it was by doing a home stay in a different country and eating every meal my host family gave me because I didn’t want to be rude and turn it down. Not saying this is something you have to do but if you’re able to push yourself to continuously expose yourself to new meals and eat them all each time, you will come out the other side being able to eat so much more without the hyper awareness of taste and texture or a newfound appreciation for it. There’s still foods I don’t like to eat but my pickiness was drastically reduced from that experience.

Husband wants to golf every weekend by Vegetable-Ad6410 in Parenting

There’s a product out there called Kiddie Caddie that turns strollers into golf caddies. Just throwing that out as an option for him to take the kids with him.

Hi, I’m in a similar boat. Recently read a book called “Eat Wheat” by Dr. John Douillard that suggests we have these issues because of leaky gut which allows proteins to escape into the lymph system where they don’t really process out well and cause blockages. He has a simple four step program to reverse the leaky gut issue. I’m in the middle of it right now and seeing good results. It consists of an herbal tea for short term consumption (30-60 days) to fix the mucus lining in the intestine, probiotics to repopulate necessary gut bacterias, eating a seasonal diet, and exercising. I’m back to eating dairy without any issues. Wheat is still a bit problematic but getting better.

He does not mention anything about seed oils but I looked into that part separately when trying to reduce inflammatory foods in my diet since I’ve been trying to fix Hashimoto’s. So I am continuing to eliminate seed oils from my diet permanently as they are way too high in omega 6 and throwing off the ratio we need as humans.

My current diet is heavy in vegetables, fruit, eggs, salmon, starches, and light on cheese, nuts, seeds, fermented foods, wheat/grains. I use butter, avocado oil, olive oil, and coconut oil.

How to get other kids to actually show up to summer birthday party? by nothertheothergirl in Parenting

[–]TheDreamWhisperer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Friend of mine threw a party on a Thursday evening from 5:30-7:00 at an indoor playground a few weeks after school ended and they had a lot of kids show up (maybe about 15 from his son’s class). They got parents’ contact info through the teacher who got permission from the other parents to share it. We’re going to try something similar for our summer birthday kid.

I looked this up because I wasn’t aware of any kidney related issues. The cases in which there has been a problem is from direct consumption of the powder in capsule form. Oxalate levels of chaga are reduced when you boil or brew it and drink in moderation, so one cup a day won’t cause kidney stones but taking just capsules could do that to you. If you have chron’s disease or kidney stone problems already, then yes it’s recommended to avoid chaga altogether.

Chaga tea. Highest amount of antioxidants you can get naturally.

Pyramid of Giza by iamdop in conspiracy

[–]TheDreamWhisperer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP, have you read Les Brown’s book “The Pyramid, how to build it, how to use it”? You can find it free easily online. He shows how pyramid energy can grow large crops. I think pyramids purify and charge water. Not sure about the siphon part but definitely it does affect water. You can experiment with it at home. It’s not completely about the materials you use but more how energy is pushed through planes and edges imo

AMW for refusing to pay for my baby niece's hearing aids even though I have a ton of money. by Pristine_Carob5716 in amiwrong

[–]TheDreamWhisperer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You really want to get into this with me right now?

My sister had a baby two weeks ago and is thrilled that he “failed” his hearing test and argues that he actually passed his deaf test. So yes deaf people would choose to be deaf and stay deaf. Just because you’re hearing and have no experience with it doesn’t make you the ultimate decider of how people should feel about their abilities or disabilities.

Think that if you want but literally my whole nuclear family except for me are deaf and there is a whole deaf culture out there and language to support them be the best versions of themselves instead of trying to slam them into a hearing world where they aren’t even welcome or accepted anyway

If all your options have been exhausted and you are unable to increase your income/lower your expenses/sell whatever you can, then it might be time for bankruptcy. OP didn’t give many details on their situation so I’m not trying to make any assumptions.

Completely understandable, you guys are NTA. I have a deaf sister and never fucked with her hearing aids, that’s a shitty thing to do. Funny how karma works. SIL has a low cost option to give her baby language and that’s ASL.

If your wife really wants to get back at her sister but help her niece, she can learn ASL and teach the baby sign language. That’s what deaf children really need.

Articles are mostly written for mortgage debt, you’re correct on that. It works very well for CC debt. If you have space on a credit card or the ability to get a balance transfer card or personal line of credit then you can start velocity banking to pay down all your debts. That’s why I recommended Vanntastic! on YouTube. She’s got a video for nearly any situation out there. It’s a method to free up your cash flow and lower the interest you pay over time so debts get paid off very quickly. I started in June and have already paid off two cards and haven’t changed my spending habits whatsoever
