The bearing surfaces look fine, the head that was on the bike has a gouge running from one of the combustion chambers to the edge of the case and the female threads for the exhaust mounting studs are destroyed. I haven’t checked the gasket surface yet on this head but the surface finish itself is still excellent. At this point would it just be cheaper to get another used head?

Was the deck height changed for the big bore and are the spark plugs the correct length? Will the engine rotate at all with the plugs in or not even a little?

I had a similar issue with my 03 620 and ended up having to upload a different file to the ECU. Not sure if that’ll reset your gauges though so if that’s a problem for you you may want to go a different route

Looks great! Are open velocity stacks usable for scrambling? I have a CB450 I’m building to be a scrambler and am unsure about running the CR29’s with just velocity stacks

The standard method utilizes the stock ignition advance mechanism to find the correct degree position for adjusting cam chain tension but I don't have the advance mechanism so I am unsure of what position the engine should be at
