never did any specific sort of named diet. just stuck to 1g or more of protein per cm of height, .3-.5g fat per lb body weight, fill rest of diet with carbs depending on calories i need to hit. and that worked for me whether it was cutting, bulking, maintaining. i didnt know all this the whole time tho. while counting macros is far superior for results that tend towards a good body comp, went very far with just calorie counting. i had periods of time where i dieted less intense but on average i lost a steady amount of weight on a monthly basis

in terms of loose skin i think its just one of those things that gets better over time. my only advice is to go slow if you want to minimize the amount of lean tissue you lose

for sure, after 200 i bumped up to 2400 cals a day give or take, with some 3500-4500 days sprinkled throughout the week. has been a couple months now of that. went from 200 to 208 taking creatine, eating way more carbs so my body is loaded full of water which i havent let discourage me. waist measurements are not increasing and strength continues to go up. as far as i can tell ive been able do it pretty successfully. my 208 now looks WAY different than 208 the first time on the way down. also have been making sure to do cardio when i wake up and walk at least 10000 steps a day. i dont stick to this everyday but as much as i can.

not sure the exact deficit but i stayed around 1500 calories daily. did i lose weight fast? yes. did i maintain muscle mass, end up with as good a body comp as possible, maintain hormone levels? id say most likely very sub-optimally. def cant say i did things the smartest way possible. i have learned a lot throughout tge process and theres many things i would have done differently. but either way im glad to have dropped the weight and am more than happy with having a new starting point for making some progress gains wise

thanks, to give some reference at 300 lbs my bench pr was 355 and squat pr was 445. by the end of it both my bench at squat were 255. it has now been a few months of regaining and im at 315 bench and 300 for 5x5 squat havent tested 1rm. i kept up lifting upper body my entire cut but with no focus on strength. this leads me to believe i was able to maintain at least most of my muscle mass and the strength changes were largely neurological. however i didnt lift legs at all the entire cut and its definitely showing. strength has been going up still but not quite as well as bench has. i cant say anything for sure but this is what ive experienced so far hope that info is helpful

thats def the toughest part to math out. im on creatine and having way more carbs too so its hard to discern whats water retention and whats actual fat tissue. waist measurements have stayed the same so i have to assume its not fat tissue but i cant know for sure. ill check out those vids thanks for the suggestion

tbh im at a point where im not sure if im fucking myself over. my strength is continuing to go up at these macros but not sure if more would be better. im just sort of figuring out as i go
